Yet you moulded Gawn into one of the best ruckman.
The biggest thing with coaches is we’ve all been taught from childhood that coaches have the central position in football. Therefore a messiah complex is built in fans’ minds.
Coaches matter but players matter much much more.
Great coach...
I’ve never understood why Port can’t wear the prison bars, black white with say teal edges or a teal stripe above the white horizontal bar, or teal inside the white bars.
Would look good.
Navy blue with white works.
Especially when they wear white shorts.
Ofcourse the best version of that was the Big V jumper - navy blue, white V and white shorts.
They the big three of bad jumpers.
GC with a silly circle thing looks like pyjamas for toddlers.
GWS looks like an artist convention for artists who can’t paint or draw.
Hawthorn whilst classic stripes have bodily functions colours. Epic fail.
Biggest single issue with clash jumpers Collingwood v Carlton is if Collingwood wears black back with white numbers.
Does not work.
Actually I’ve never liked white numbers on the Collingwood jumper.

He did coach Prahran to the VFA flag in 1978 so from that got an assistant gig with Collingwood in time.
When Hafey got the chop there was Erwin...

But it did happen a few years later (1925 I believe) Just not in the off season after his one VFL game.
Probably been mentioned as old ongoing thread.
Leigh Matthews and Don Scott went about their business, played well together but they didn’t speak to each other.
As Leigh once said, we didn’t have anything to say to each other so we didn’t.... didn’t affect their games.

Dermie- Collingwood (still has a soft spot for them, mad on them as a kid)
Dipper - Collingwood.
