Anyone else watching Drive to Survive on Netflix?
Nothing earth-shattering but worth watching for the Danny Ric/Horner/Abiteboul drama alone. And it certainly seems from the series DR knew he was leaving Red Bull from the start of the season. Also Guenther Steiner comes across as bit of lege.
I think it's important to point out that its only a two year contract.
If he's competitive maybe jags the odd podium or even a win with an inferior car, I think it's likely he could still go to one of Ferrari or Merc when either Vettel or Hamilton's time is up (If Vettel doesn't win a DC in...
Very doubtful Abiteboul and Horner are going to be on speaking terms for a while. Possibly ever.
Relations could already be described as frosty, I imagine now they're positively Siberian.
A track with a 80% safety car chance where it was warm and tires were degrading and everyone was understeering like crazy the whole race.
Yeah sacrificing track position seemed like the percentage play for sure. Just terrible luck.
Bottom line Dan needs to outqualify Verstappen sometime soon...
You get the opportunity to go to Merc you’ve got to take it, imo. They’ve got the best engine aero combo. Historically Toto has also seemed up for someone who could beat Hamilton as well.
His and dear old Helmut's logic I think is that Dan should not race Max as aggressively as he races everyone else on the grid. With most other drivers, the dummy move he tried would have been respected (I don't think his tires that weren't fully up to temp would have held it to the corner anyway...
A wish a reporter would ask Helmut why Kyvat gets canned after a few mistakes but sweet young Max has two years of moving under breaking and 'it doesn't matter who is at fault'.
Seriously this guy is a joke.
I'm actually a big fan of the current Toro Rosso. The halo is rubbish but its a nice paint scheme and the lines actually accentuate the curves of the modern car in a way that no one else has managed.
To be brutally honest unlike a Kimi, Kyvat doesn't have enough ability to get away his complete lack of personality. He's still only 22 though so maybe he can come back like a Hulk or Grosjean.
