I have a rule.
Right angle bends are s**t - there's only one fast line around them. This track had too many of them. Brake, turn, squirt, repeat.
And the famous Turn 3 turned out to be exciting - once.
What do you all think of the theory that Nico deliberately ran off the road to give Hamilton the win?
1. No other driver missed the braking point there. Kyviat ran through because he had no brakes at all. There was heaps of overtaking maneuvers there, and everyone else got around safely.
2...
No, no - that's code. It means 'Ricciardo is driving well and about to get involved in an overtaking battle. So we know you'll be bound to stick around and watch these ads, because we know you'll be watching after the break - when we can show you replays of what you missed'.
If Ricciardo ever...
It seems like bad luck - but Webber has too many retirements (particularly when the bloke on identical (ahem) equipment doesn't retire.
Either Webber is too tough on his car - or he's getting screwed by his team. I actually think it's option A. And you can't afford a driver who doesn't get...
Nothing will happen.
If there was something going to happen, RBR had 10 laps to tell Vettel 'You stuffed up. Now pull over down the main straight and let Webber past'.
RBR would still have their 1-2 (which according to them is the important thing), team orders would have been reinforced...
Godd on Webber - won Monaco the way you are supposed to. Great practise, a bit of luck (Schumi getting bumped) and then start well and you should win. It has always been that way at Monaco.
But I think F1 have to reconsider their tyre rules - when you have the leaders basically protecting...
Read Alan Jones' book. It's a tough world.
When he was the No 2 driver, he said his first ambition was to beat the No 1 driver - maybe not beat him, but prove he was better.
When he was the No 1 driver, he made damn sure the contract said he WAS the No 1 driver and that he got the...
Clearly the fastest driver/car package for the whole year.
I thought he was going to do a Lauda for a while - lauda was the fastest driver in '74, but made a few too many mistakes and the wise old head Fittipaldi snuck through and won the title. Lauda then won in 75 and 77 (and would have won...
On an English radio show (I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue), they do various impersonation gags. Murray Walker is one of their favorites. They've done Charge of The Light Brigade, a Royal Wedding, and Christmas Shopping (as commented on by MW). All very funny.
I'll see if I can dig some up.
