My guess is Vince wouldn't be pursuing the project unless he had a really great idea about how to do it. In my opinion Better Call Saul maintains the same level of quality from BB so I'll have faith that if he wants to make this that it's worth making. I wonder if Gene will make an appearance.
As Viserion came down it looked like he was bleeding smoke. Tears were shed. Frozen dragon looked like stone.
Did the Night King just raise a dragon from stone amid salt and smoke?
I'm not concerned about the Dothraki and the Rose Road - teleportation has been established for a while in the show. I don't necessarily love it, but I can deal with it. And I get why they do it.
What I'm interested in though - Bronn and Jamie will be captured by Danny almost certainly. Jamie...
To be fair The Hound would have run screaming the moment Danny melted the Lannister Centre. I imagine that will be relevant at some point.
And while I'm here, that is a sound tactical move when you have a horde of light cav versus essentially levy spearmen. Melt the centre like that and victory...
I actually read an article the other night on Fairfax that stated that several cast members felt the editing was actually being pretty kind to him and that the worst stuff hadn't made it to the screen. Also stated that all the cast made an FB messenger group chat to keep in contact after filming...
UnCat has done two things in the books so far, and one of them was of absolutely no significance. Even GRRM has questioned whether he should have included her. It was a cool reveal, but let down by then going almost nowhere.
If they are going to bring Michele Fairley back, they have to...
I'm not that murderous zombie Cat Stark would have fit that well into the episode. It would have been a huge WTF moment, yes, but otherwise it wouldn't have fit that well. I could see them leaving LSH out altogether, it wouldn't bother me that much.
I don't mind Brienne winning a duel with The...
Show Tyrion is a significantly different character than book Tyrion. They have made him more of an unambiguous hero. The way they did it in the show works better for the characters as they are in the show, IMO.
Jojen paste, if it is true in the books (I personally doubt it) is something they...
Yeah, Jamie baulked Cersei when she came to him in the White Sword Tower in Feast. He objected to doing it there. On the other hand, a big part of his rejection of Cersei was that he wanted to be open about their relationship, so it makes sense that he would react the way he did in the scene...
I'm starting to think that show-Tysha actually was a whore. That scene black in season one where Shae tells Tyrion he should have known it was fake because no woman would be wanting sex after an attempted rape came to mind. On the other hand, it felt like Jamie was considering whether or not to...
The 160 pages was years ago, and he only delivered them as a contractual requirement. In October 2012 he claimed to have written 400 pages of manuscript (but that only 200 of those were truly done). I actually think there is a good chance we'll see the book next year. I am sort of harbouring...
Remember that GRRM doesn't present everything strictly chronologically. Having said that, I'm pretty sure that the pink letter is a pack of lies. There are a bunch of theories on its origin, but Stannis was alive and well and executing Karstarks the last time I saw him. That letter claimed that...
What I have often wondered is whether their concept of a 'year' even comes from. I'm pretty sure a fan once asked GRRM if there was an explanation of the type you've suggested for the seasons, but I'll not post the answer in this thread since it could very vaguely be considered a spoiler, but...
Mance is definitely in next week. Looks like Bran finds the tree as well, so we might see Bloodraven.
For the most part I think the show has been great, but they have totally botched Jon Snow's story arc. They had to make huge changes this year especially so that they could have a big climactic...
Didn't really like it. I usually don't mind when they change things from the books, but in this case I hated it. Many reasons, but the one on my mind now is that they spent the whole episode on the battle but then didn't actually resolve it. No Stannis? That leaves a ridiculous amount to get...
I actually think the best rule is that people who have read the books just don't post in the non-book thread for any reason. Just the knowledge you have informing your posts can inadvertently give them information they don't want.
I see no reason why they couldn't air it tonight. People in Australia will have watched the first 2 hours by now. I don't personally see how sitting on it for 6 days can be considered 'fast-tracking' just because they've treated us with even more contempt in the past. If people just pirate it...
The mummer's dragon? Nah, I reckon he is Illyrio's son. I do wonder who will end up King/Queen at the end of the series. I'm guessing Rickon, but that is mostly a guess. GRRM has said he considers the Starks heroes, and Rickon's main purpose so far seems to be to be a viable male heir to...
It's a sign of a great show when they have the balls to really change things up. Shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, Game of Thrones are/were always changing things and it is good to see Suits get in on that action. I look forward to seeing what they come up with in season 4. I look forward to...
Yeah, I meant to say he has terminal pancreatic cancer. I'm unwell today, can't think straight.
I just watched that last scene again, they did an amazing job with the shots of Jof at the very end. The makeup was brilliant, I reckon that image will become famous.
Ugh, I hate the Daario recast. Prefer that Ser Ilyn just isn't in it anymore than to have him recast. Speaking of vanishing characters, where is Ser Kevan? He is going to become quite important fairly soon.
Yeah, there are a couple of clues that it was QoT. She adjusts Sansa's necklace, and then she was closest to the wine in between the last non-lethal sip and the lethal gulp.
In the books Littlefinger claims to have been behind it, with the QoT doing the actual deed. I expect we'll see him next...
That was one of the best episodes of TV I have seen. I will look forward to retwatching this series over a weekend once it has all aired. This series is managing to have lots going on, but still pace itself, and still keep each episode maintain a focus.
Really liking this season.
I don't think Walk rigging up the M60 like he did is at all unrealistic. The show established a while back that he is generally handy. He also set up the wheelchair bomb. It seemed like a relatively simple plan to me. He figured that they'd let him in, either to take him up on his offer and then...
