And a brilliant performance. Great show too. It came across as a kind of mini-series spin-off of The Wire. Nice to see some of the actors from it on this show.
It's always difficult when the host is a colossal knob.
And the thing is, anyone who saw the promos for it knew what was coming. How f**king stupid are their target audience?
Something to do with their TV celebrities being either intelligent and/or genuinely funny.
It's been a while since we can say that about anyone on the absolute bile they put on here.
It's a good a reason as any other to watch it again.
Don't feel obligated to watch the third one though. It's still a good film, just nowhere near the quality of the first two.
In saying that, I do prefer the new Godfather: Coda version than the original 3.
I liked season 2 as well. 3 was average. Season 4 is an improvement until the last 2-3 episodes. It felt like it was building nicely and then they were told that there would be no season 5 and then hurriedly rewrote the last couple of episodes to force an ending. Really disappointing finish...
If they try and charge you a different price that's either on the item itself or the advertised price on a sale sign or on their website, they have to give it to you for nothing.
You may have to go deep into your George Costanza reserves but if you make them get their manager, they'll...
Finished The Wire last night and now I want to watch it all over again.
Watched the first episode of We Own This City. Good to see so many Wire cast members in it.
Yeah, I agree. The different backdrop (port instead of corners) must have put a few off. Not me. I thought it only made the show better and more interesting.
I really enjoyed it when it was first on, but for some reason we stopped watching it part ways through the second season and never got around to finishing it off.
That will need to be rectified.
I do like them. They do tend to sometimes be all serious, which can sometimes be a little too much. A little dark humour in an already well made drama can elevate the show to another level, IMHO. It's part of the reason I like The Sopranos, Deadwood and The Wire so much (and to a lesser degree...
Indeed. As I said, I've not seen the show yet, but I have heard that it's very, very good.
I remain convinced that nothing shall remove Deadwood from it's place at the top of the TV tree (with that NJ mob show).
None are as good as that, but Hell On Wheels was an excellent show and 1889 is supposed to be near Deadwood level but I've not seen it yet.
Westworld has western elements in it, especially early, but isn't a western.
The movie was a good way to tie a few things up, but the series stands up just as well with or without it, in my opinion.
My all time favourite show along with The Sopranos.
