I thought a good movie..enjoyed it more the second time as I was just in a better mood to enjoy 3 hours.
But still I didn’t rate it as great or didn’t think it had great performances in it. Murphy and Downey were good but nothing stand out especially Downey who I don’t think had that many...
Yeah great ending to a great show.

First film I ever saw outside TV was at the drive in watching Fiddler on the Roof. Barely remember it because I was so young. My parents and their friends went to a few drive in movies in those days and so much fun. My parents never took to me the cinema though and not sure even ever went to...
Surprising I thought it was excellent movie and his performance outstanding. In fact I’d go as far to say that not only should he have been nominated for best actor but should have won it. That’s not an isolated view.
Never thought he was capable of. Showed signs earlier in the Meyerowitz...
Fair enough, a lot of people didn't like it. I thought it was quite funny..particularly his disdain for the kids. I's also imagine a guy like Wonka to be eccentric and socially awkward like that.
Wonka - not sure what they were thinking with this one. Very vanilla Wonka ..not necessarily Chalamet’s fault but the character was so happy and one dimensional and far inferior to Wider and Depp. Music was ordinary to say the least and two best pieces were from Charlie movies.
Hugh Grant...
Holy s**t some very hot takes here ..especially Godfather. One of the greatest of all time! Wire one of the great shows. Not a bash ..respect everyone has different opinions
Yeah I was the same ..I didn’t walk out but gees it was tough going. I’m a big fan of Tennenbaums and Grand Budapest but...
They start next year and yes they will have this show, Last of Us, White Lotus etc competing against Binge …

Yeah similar. Thought it got bogged down a bit in the middle hour. Yeah we get you’re the saviour. Zendaya’s frown getting a little tiresome as well. Walken miscast. Butler character a bit too meh. Fantastic sets and overall decent two movies. I still rate Villenueve’s Arrival and Blade2049...
Probably most boring Oscars for some time. Some good movies this year and just thought a shame Oppenheimer won everything..liked it but didnt think it deserved to sweep such a strong field
The Iron Claw - Started well but a bit messy and don’t think it handled the emotion of the tragedy in the last half of the movie…a little too much arms length.. thought it was just listing chronology of events without much delving into the harshness and poor treatment of the sons. Characters...
The Holdovers - Terrific movie again from Alexander Payne. I’m a big fan of Sideways and Nebraska. Good to see him working with Giamatti again, who as always was superb. IMO better than Cillian Murphy in Oppy. Just a really good human story, old fashioned story telling in a way. Randolph...
Fair enough ..didn’t read your last sentence properly. Anyway does it really matter. Worldle’s not that yesterday and it’s an easy joke to make in the context it was made.
