yep good advice..goal is to get it positively geared.. i have one but i rushed into it got it at the wrong time, payed too much, not a great area and it has made no capital growth...but it is now positively geared someone is paying it off for me. I will hold onto it for ten years and try not...

also with ebay...all the packaging and posting takes a shitload of time and costs money...sometimes by t he time u get the thing away u make jack s**t compared with the time u put in. it can be a pain in the arse for very little reward

firstly as a single man i would suggest Melbourne however if u prefer quiet life go Adelaide. 4/500k will get u something very nice the further north u go the more ferral it gets as others have suggested i would recommend places just out of the city..croydon, thebarton, brompton etc etc...
