All these trades make 2023 really interesting. Geelong still start as favourites but do their ins (offset by outs (Selwood)) actually extend their advantage over the rest of the field. I think Richmond gain ground on them...

Maybe if he'd played more than 26 games in four seasons at Essendon he might have been valued by Richmond a little more. As such he was a player we thought we could use, but with such limited exposure to senior football there was still a risk on our behalf.
Right now he'd be a top 10 pick. In 5 years time he might have a Brownlow and a few premierships and will be considered a top 5 pick... or he may have stagnated and be considered a mature-age rookie type of pick.
