I dont think that would be enough to get up to pick 2. Especially considering that package after compo and NGA/FS could end up being 14, 16 and 22 + Constable.
Plus, our 2021 2nd will likely be around pick 20 anyway.
True, I reckon there are 2x top players in Hollands and McDonald that teams will go mental for and be keen to move up. From the North point of view, really hoping that pick 2 doesn't end up with the crows.
Regardless, North aren't one player away from completing a rebuild, so I doubt we'd be...
If McDonald is there at pick 2, there'll likely be a number of teams looking to move up. Hawks, Swans and Bombers would all be desperate for a gun KPF. I think better offers than 5 + 14 will be on the table.
If Essendon can get pick 7 for Saad I could see them bundling up 6 + 7 for 2 in order...
Collingwood struggling and desperately need a key forward and outside run. Also need to capitalise on the last few years of Pendles and Sidebottom.
North looking to rebuild and stock up on draft picks over the next 2 drafts.
Left field trade idea:
Brown + Polec + North 2020 2nd (from Ess)
>>>...
No s**t Sherlock, of course there's more to trades than the points, but this one literally has no players attached so value of picks is the only way to judge it.
If you think North trading #8 for #17 + #24 is a better deal than what we got, you're an idiot.
Even with your ambitious pick 11...
No one can say whether it is good for the Roos or Dees until next year anyway. If you guys bomb and give us pick 1, then it's obviously gonna be a win for us. If you make finals then it probably favours you lot.
Anyone declaring a winner in that trade this early is really jumping the gun. But...
Anderson hasn't been linked to any trades, only news is that he hasn't signed a new contract yet.
Having said that, he's had a great year and if anyone did want to trade for him I'd be expecting a pick between 20-25 back at an absolute minimum.
Can a player get nominated twice in consecutive years? Witherden an absolute lock for this weeks if he can, otherwise there are a few others putting their hands up.
Been around long enough to know you have no idea what you're talking about.
If Naish isn't bid on in the top 25, he's not a top 25 talent. Doesn't get much simpler than that.
Why would any team want to "look after" Richmond?
Naish is rated where he is rated, a team will bid on him if they view him as the best available at that point. As simple as that.
To be honest mate, who I like doesn't belong on this thread.
As far as rumours go, from what I've seen here and on the Roos board, we are likely most interested in Dow or Stephenson with our pick 4, both have links to the club and suit our needs. Would need brayshaw to go #1 to have a chance...
If players picked their teams from year 1, half the league would be dead in 20 years.
The big clubs would offer the best facilities, perks and future job opportunities, and would pick up all the best talent.
It would be like the premier league but if the smaller clubs aren't even competitive...
To be fair on Florent, his dad passed away this year, if there was ever a suitable reason to tell recruiters he would prefer to stay close to his family in Melbourne, that would be it.
Agree, I wouldn't do it if I was Port, but from a value standpoint that's about even. 9 definitely has more value due to the chance of a slider, but there's still no way Sydney trade 14 + 17 alone for it. There would need to be something coming back from Port, probably a player around the value...

There's the link, as you can see the proposition is crazy overs for port. More likely to be 9 + 49 > 14 + 37 + 57
It's a pretty complicated trade, but when you break it down to ins and outs, it's kinda terrible for North.
Richmond in: Prestia, Pick 29, 2017 first round pick (GC), 2017 second round pick (NM)
Richmond out: Deledio, Ben Lennon, Reece Conca, 2017 first round pick, pick 42
North in: Nichols...
Top 15 for me so far:
Fyfe
Martin
Gawn
Talia
Cunnington
Gunston
Duncan
Scully
Carlisle
Barlow
Pittard
Stratton
MacMillan
Sheppard
Stevens
Colyer
I'd also just note that if Dan Menzel can get his body right for a prolonged period of time, he'll jump right into the top 10, he's an immense...
This might be a bit ambitious, but what does everyone think of the following:
North's 1st round + Lachie Hansen => David Swallow
GC need a KPD, and Swallow is a bit of a risk with his injuries, might need a couple of later round picks/swaps to make it more appealing to the Suns though.
These four would be great value for next year, I reckon they'll all have terrific seasons. Didn't realise that Dumont was still eligible, but geez he'd be a great shot at it. I don't think that any first year players will play enough this year outside of Weitering, and even he'll most likely be...
The key problem here is that if Carlisle nominates St. Kilda, they have all the power in negotiations. It's being discussed in another thread, but this is a perfect example of the players having too much power in trading.
Let's say for arguments sake, Carlisle's worth around pick 10. If...
