To be fair most players in the US come grew up in places that don't have a team. Our situation is a little unique in the fact a majority of the population grow up in one of the 5 major cities.
It's not a myth. Unless they move and alter zones every year somes zones will be short of talent.
You don't have a endless supply of junior talent in every suburb or town forever. So unless you adjust the zones so each team has roughly the same amount of juniors coming through it won't work.
Why do we need a midseason draft. If a player was deemed not good enough to get on a senior list or rooie list. A club should be able to add them to the list if a spot becomes available. No need for the midseason draft.
Why I do agree that players have far to much control these days. You have to laugh at the Non Victorian supporters who complain Vic clubs have the advantage with the go home factor. You now want a rule that swings it in your favour and will many times restrict a club to dealing only with one...
I don't know how you came to the conclusion that Port have no interest in Didak. The article seems to read that Port inquired about Didak and the Pies said he's not for sale.
I love how every club have these stars (according to the supporters) who can't get a game simply because the coach won't give them a fair go.
Clubs these days don't want to downgrade picks for your garbage. 24 years that have struggled for a game at best are worth PSD pick or a throw away...
Re: O'Keefe wants OUT
Not a stupid argument at all. Very few players play beyond 30 and that is what most clubs would expect they would get out of a player. Most clubs would see it as a bonus to have a player play from 31 upwards.
That's not to say his value is any less it really comes...
So Lovett will play until he is 36:confused::eek::p:D
How many blokes play to that age. Not ****in many and they are either out and out stars or very consistent solid players. Now which one of these is Lovett?
And the clincher that proved it a bullshit rumour was that even at the time of the post Collingwood's earliest pick was 31 having already on traded pick 14 to Brisbane.
It's laughable how supporters carry on when 1 bloke in the know dosen't rate there player as highly as them. The fact is all suporters only want to read a profile that states there draft pick is the best thing since Gary Ablett. That very reason is why people prefer footy draft profiles over...
Why would you need to change strategy when 1 of the 3 were still available. It seems most likely you rated thomas just ahead of ellis or else it would have been a no brainer when it came to your pick and ellis was still available.
Unless he is asking a $1 million a season then we have plenty of room. We must have room if we offered Jeff White a reported close to $1 million a year. My understanding is if we don't get someone on big dollars in the PSD then we up a few players wages.
