Can we beat Sydney next year?

It surprised me, too. He's a beast, love those types at a football club. Despite disagreeing with most of your thoughts on Sydney, I appreciate the way you reply respectfully without resorting to cheap comebacks. Kudos. :thumbsu:

Can we beat Sydney next year?

I won't get into any long-winded discussions, as it'll be an argument that will never end, but how can you say Bolton will be out for the season when he just bestest his time trial from last preseason? He's fine and he's running.

Can we beat Sydney next year?

No doubt I'll get shot down as being biased (I'm not actually a Hawthorn supporter) but I think this view is outdated and quite ignorant. Winning 2 flags in 7 years makes it hard to take the "Usual top 6-8 type self" comment seriously at all. If you want to down play that sort of success, you...

    Darren Jolly Trade Thread

Fair enough, we're all biased towards our clubs, I think 1st and 2nd round is fair as I doubt the 2nd round pick is likely to be anything special. I've seen Wellingham mentioned quite a bit, what type of player is he and is he likely to be a regular for Collingwood in 2010 if he stays?

    Darren Jolly Trade Thread

Re: Collingwood makes Darren Jolly offer Lol you'd give up a 2nd rounder for Seaby? I hope so.

What trade would Collingwood look at for O'keefe

    I hope so!

What trade would Collingwood look at for O'keefe

Roos has officially stated that a first rounder will be required for O'Keefe. RoK wont use the PSD, so it seems whoever wants him will have to come up with something better than a second rounder and some dud (Last 5 words directed at Essendon supporters, mostly)

We did it not only for us.... but for every other Victorian Team out there.

C'mon Victorians don't play for Victorians, and Non-Victorians don't play for Non-Victorians. The Pies won tonight, not Victoria. Stick it up 'em!

    Great future for Collingwood.

I have to congratulate your mob again after that giant-slaying effort tonight, the Eagles may have been missing their top 3, but that means nothing come finals time, and all credit has to go to the promising young side that the Pies has. The funny thing is i had a dream last night that...

    Just too good.

This will probably be my last post on the Collingwood board in a while, so i wanted to make it a good one. Some of you wont take me seriously, due to comments i've made on this board recently, but it's all heat of the battle type stuff, hopefully the majority of you get that. Anyway, great...

    Good luck Pie's fans!

Wow, same situation for me, well as far as my brother being a Collingwood fan and me being a Sydney fan. I'm 23 though, and he's 21, tomorrow night should be crazy!!

Kevin Dyas - One over the Lions

It seems like the Lions just keep getting shafted when it comes to the Irish players. http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364928

    Collingwood's Barometer?

And if you read what i'd had to put up with the week prior, then you'd know why. Nothing wrong with fighting fire with fire, and FYI i do rate many Collingwood players. Didak, Rusling, Thomas, all favourite players of mine.

    Collingwood's Barometer?

I know it's almost a footy cliche now, to name a play as the barometer of their clubs success, but in many cases i think it's pretty accurate. Just wondering who Collingwood fans think plays this role for your team? I was thinking along the lines of Neon, Fraser or maybe Lockyer?
  16. DeadlyAkkuret

    Jolly

Sorry but Sandilands isn't better, he's just a giant, and not even as good as Burton was, and you're kidding if you think Ottens and Seaby are better.
  17. DeadlyAkkuret

    Jolly

Unfortunately most of your fellow Collingwood fans disagree.

Not in the top 10? So, please list the 10 or so that are better, and show me their stats.

Bahahahahahaha!!....*deep breath*.. BAHAHAHAHAHA!! Didak is a gun, Chick is a tragic mess right now.

Can someone tell me what the reason is for all the fuss over Wood? I can't say i know anything about him, how good is he?
  21. DeadlyAkkuret

    Jolly

I really do hope you're right. Just give him whatever deal he wants!
  22. DeadlyAkkuret

    Jolly

True. After Jolly, our ruck department looks weak, since Spida wont be around long. The Donk (Doyle) would be the perfect replacement for Jolly, but he's just so injury prone, and as soon as he gets back, he's out again. A lot of Sydney supporters think Doyle is even better than Jolly, if only...

    Jolly

Yeah i'd say that's a fair deal, it's all just speculation obviously, but there's nothing wrong with that.
  24. DeadlyAkkuret

    Jolly

I think you're right, getting Jolly ahead of a club like Richmond or Carlton, would require a serious deal, meaning you'd have to put a very good player on the table. I like Rusling, and i think his potential is endless. Having said that, i want Sydney to keep Jolly, but if we have to release...

    Cameron Wood and Darren Jolly

Since when did ruckmen start getting old at 30? some of the best ruckmen we've seen played after 30, and played very well! Everitt is only just starting to fall off the pace and he's 34, and Salmon went well into his 30's and kept getting the job done. The ruck isn't a position where a player...

Bring In All The Big Guns Against The Swans

Lol, belted? typical Collingwood overreaction. Sydney haven't been belted in a long time!
  27. DeadlyAkkuret

    Too hungry, too good.

Congratulations to Collingwood on their performance last night, i was happy with the skill level of Sydney, but it really seemed like the Pies were just that much more hungry and determined than Sydney, and it showed in the end. I've always been a huge fan of Thomas and Rusling, and i hated...
