When did Old Faithful close?
Such a shame used to be awesome, better than any BBQ I've had in the states (admittedly it had gone down hill after COVID)
We need a bunch of the big deciduous trees that are found all through cities like Berlin and Hamburg, our canopy is s**t.
So lush in the summer and they let the sunlight through in the winter
Kintail rd is the only place i can think of that has them
Arlines not checking bags through to a final destination
Flew from LA to Perth via Melbourne last week and I had to pick up my bag at the carousel and then check it again, almost missed my connecting flight because of it.
This is supposed to be a standard practice. If a huge airport like Qatar...
To add on to this, dumbarses who either walk too slowly in main walkways or just stop in the middle of a busy walkway or intersection to talk or use their phone.
Dumbarses who aren't prepared when they get to security and are fumbling around getting their s**t together holding everyone up...
Not so much airlines, but airports.
It shits me to no end how there is no standard in airport security practices and different airports (even in the same country) just do different s**t.
For instance, having to take your shoes off in the US - dumb. Having to take out your individual toiletries...
My top choices in no particular order:
Berlin
Hamburg
Prague
Amsterdam
Barcelona
Budapest
San Francisco
Copenhagen
Aarhus
San Diego
Perth belongs on the list too tbh, never been to a place with better weather
Paris is #1 on my list, apart from a few grand buildings in the tourist bubble and some nice-ish parks I found it to be quite a hole.
Rome - just dirty and hot.
Brussels - Centre square is cool, but everything else is a sh*thole
Dallas - The neon lights aren't enough to mitigate the overall...
This will be a logistical nightmare for some sites and is a poor idea.
You enter swing work with the knowledge you won't have normal public holidays. Don't like it? Don't work in mining
I've always thought that primary school was 30% content and 70% teaching you how to interact with other people, socialise and function within a society.
So not a good idea
It's really weird going to other cities (like Brisbane) where no-one jaywalks and people look at you in a weird way when you do so.
It's just a normal thing in Perth
Yeah pretty much.
Much bigger cities with many more people worldwide seem to be able to find a peaceful balance between car and bike, why can't the place that's supposedly known for it's relaxed lifestyle?
You could say that, but you'd come across as a f*cking idiot. Why are you trying to make out that cyclists cause injuries to drivers of motor vehicles as much as vice versa?
Nah f*ck off with your indifference to human life.
Those of us who show etiquette, only use the road when there isn't a bike path ect are still treated as though our lives don't matter
Unfortunately it's going to get worse.
The worlds population is too big and the concentration of wealth is tightening to fewer and fewer.
Nothing here like it is in the US though, if you want to open your eyes take a trip to LA one day
If you're one of those motorists who find cyclists annoying on the road and pulls idiot manoeuvres that endanger lives in order to shave 60 seconds off your trip, you are a c*nt and a murderer in the making.
Plain and simple
For a city that is supposed to be chilled out and a good place to live a relaxed lifestyle, the attitude towards cyclists is ****ing appalling.
Did you really need to get to that red light 10 seconds faster?
There should be no such thing as quota systems in workplaces.
People should be hired based on their skill, experience and competence, not based on their gender or ethnicity
