Just went to Woolies with a list of about 30 items. No fruit and veg, no meat, no bread, no milk, no frozen food at all. Came away with toothpaste, Jatz crackers, a tin of tomatoes, a tin of salmon and a Kit Kat. Got a couple of avos and apples from the nearby produce shop.

The butcher was shut, the f&V shop didn't have what I wanted ie beans, broccoli (sold out, they said). Got bread at Bakers Delight. We have enough milk to go on with, will look again tomorrow. No biggie, most things on our list we can wait for. It was just incredible to see three quarters of the store empty. I hope the frozens, meat etc weren't spoiled by the power outage. Why Woolies?
Most of your butchers, fruit & vegetables shops, bakeries, Spars, etc have plenty of stock besides water and milk.
We have one chicken fillet left (and some beef strips, 2 steaks and some lamb fillet) and we're making chicken schnitzelYep I have no meat of veg for tonight. I'm going to heat up a jar of butter chicken sauce and pour it over some rice lol.
