It seems as tho alot of us are predicting we'll finsh 9th or below, is this because we are setting our selfs up for a dissapointment or?

Pretty much Wart101 the last 2 decades have worn me down, just when our team is looking on the up, it has always come crashing down.

Hard to stay optimistic when it feels like your in the movie Groundhog Day even if all indicators are saying we are on track.

Your team has no depth loser, your fwd line is questionable, your midfield doesnt look damaging anymore and the only thing keeping you in firing distance to the final 8 is your yearly favourable draw.

The reason why i get peeved is that most supporters who follow clubs other than collingwiood hate the pies .Fair enough,but everyone is quick at dismissing us ,let me remind you that we missed top 4 this year by one game and by playing well for half a season,and a forward line that really didn't function.Players we traded did nothing all year,including tarrant who really has done nothing at collingwood,so the talk is collingwood 's forward line is gone and they will struggle without tarrant.We played better without tarrant.Rusling,travis cloke,rocca,didak,medhurst davis,Fraser.I'd say i know what i'm talking about and our forward line isn't our problem.It's the midfield,and our ruck options which will be fixed after this year's draft.Sorry to have offended you don't worry i won't post on your board again.

1. West Coast...As long as they have that midfield of Cox, Judd, Cousins and Kerr - will always be a premiership threat. Looked awesome in that first half of the GF.
2. Fremantle...Yes, seriously. Finals experience would have benefited them greatly. Pulverised West Coast late in the season and I fear are coming good.
3. Sydney...Best coach in the league and plays within its limitations. Talent wise, not the greatest, but play a winning, albeit stifling, brand of football.
4. St Kilda...Offloaded some deadwood in the likes of Peckett. If Gardiner stands up, they have a ruckman for the first time in years and he will make a difference. Firepower up forward will be hard to contain!
5. Adelaide...Ageing..but remember, for the first 18 or so rounds this year, they were practically unbeatable.
6. Melbourne...Always two or three rungs higher than us. Always do enough to beat most, but incapable of troubling the top rungs.
7. Western Bulldogs...Still lacking key defensive options and a tall up forward. Not getting sucked in by the unproven McDougall, while Darcy is two years removed from the game and serious question marks hang over him.
8. Hawthorn...I normally don't get sucked in by teams who finish the season full of running but miss the finals by one to three games, but something to like about this mob. Have drafted particularly well over the last three years and offloading Everitt is a big plus in my opinion. I think Campbell is a better ruck option and see him having a breakout year!
9. Richmond....Sorry...but I don't see us making any great gains, or suffering any dramatic falls. 2008 a breakout year for us!
10. Geelong...Not really sure here...anywhere from 5 to 13...Jeckyll and Hyde. My gut feeling...slow midfield will bring them undone.
11. Collingwood....Exceptional draw last season and really not that good. Bulldogs exposed them to be an ordinary team come finals time (as we did at the MCG).
12. Port Adelaide....Should improve through some quality youth, but not all that much in one season. Though expect them to be afair way clear of teams 13-16.
13. Kangaroos...Promises of more attractive football? Well they would want to. If there is aslower, more one-dimensional midfoeld than Geelong, here it is! And only the one decent forward of note!
14. Carlton...Gibbs will help, as will a fit Murphy. But two young guns does not translate to that many extra wins. Still has the bulk of its list from last season...and is Thornton really that good??? Think not!
15. Essendon...Would love to pick them 16th, but the Lions are a rabble. Not much in the tank for Hird and see his last season panning out much in the way of Brett favre's at Green Bay. Does the word mediocre mean anything?
16. Brisbane...On a hiding to nowhere. They have lost the heart and soul of the club in Voss, Lappin, Leppitsch, Scott etc. etc. A long haul back!
