It's fun. And I can't see it ending anytime soon.

Our run of wins (11?) against the teal terriers when they entered the comp. was the most satisfying ownership.
Agreed. That was awesome. Especially the year they were top of the ladder and we were near the bottom and still beat them by 100+ points

Where's North Melbourne over Port Adelaide on the list?
Our best ever runs:

16 vs. Melbourne, 1976-84
11 vs. Footscray, 1973-78 (1 draw then 10 wins)
10* vs. Melbourne, 2007-12
10 vs. Hawthorn, 1950-55
10 vs. St Kilda, 1979-83 (3 wins, 1 draw, then 6 wins)
9 vs. St Kilda, 1974-78
9 vs. Hawthorn, 1994-97
9 vs. Port Adelaide, 1997-02

Melbourne hasn't beaten a decent Victorian team in ages.
Essendon - Rd 10, 2012 (won their last 3 against the Dons; won 6 of last 9).

Richmond - Rd 14, 2011 (3 losses) (lost 7 of last 11).

Carlton - Rd 22, 2007 (6 losses).
Bulldogs - Rd 19, 2007 (6 losses).
Collingwood - Rd 11, 2007 (8; 5 losses, draw, then 2 losses).

St Kilda - Elim Final, 2006 (7 losses).
North Melbourne - Rd 20, 2006 (10 losses).
Hawthorn - Rd 8, 2006 (9 losses).
Geelong - Rd 6, 2006 (9; draw in Rd 21, 2006; then 8 losses).

They play St Kilda in Round 20, otherwise they'll have to wait until next year to break the ice.

BTW that's not a good stat for the filth!

My favourite, particularly the way we started it.

Same! that was our real arrival I thought. Especially because it was the first time we'd beaten them since the microwave oven was invented.
Yeah the previous 14 we'd lost and there was a draw before that. The loss in '98 was dreadful but got us into gear - we didn't lose another game until the fecking grand final... 11 straight which I think is a club record.

BTW our current run of form (6 out of 7) is the best since 2008 when we won 6 straight and 7 out of 8 ... the loss was by 15 points to St Kilda when we were up at 3/4 time. If we manage to win both games in the next fortnight (8 of 9) it will be our best run of form since 1999.

Updated. Second best ever winning streak behind... er, Melbourne.

Head-to-head 49-24 since Barassi came to North.
