Still puzzled as to why he was dropped last week.

I know some people are saying it was due to the ankle injury, but then why list him as "ommitted", as opposed to injured.

In my opinion we're going to need three tall forwards this year, especially while they all develop.

Gumbleton at CHF, Neagle at FF and Williams FP.
When Hurley returns, he can either replace Williams or even become the third tall, with Williams restricted to playing purely as a small/crumbing forward, which isn't too dissimilar from what he's providing at the moment.

It is not so much that I agree with him not being in the side this week.

Now that he has been dropped leave him there to find form and confidence. Coming in next week off the back of a mediocre performance would surely just sap his confidence even more.

He had a chance on Sunday to make a statement ala Kyle Hardingham, it was the second quarter, he led, the ball was cut off by a lion dropping back but he could have hit the pack, split it open and maybe even copped a week. He took the safe option. Jay, you are built like a brick shithouse you have been given every opportunity imagineable, I don`t think you care.
The body language is abysmal, the effort is hardly there you are getting a game under false pretences.

A reliable source :) I'm sure they will make a news story about it soon enough once the Bomber Thompson annoucement is made.

There's some pics on the efc website which show that he looks in decent shape.

hope neagle's lost the weight thru hard fitness work and not just due to a bout of gastro from a dodgy pizza he'd revisited after a few days
