I'd be fine with a Fyfe for Hogan deal. Our forward line could be:
HF. Kent Fyfe Truck
F. Jeffy Pedo Watts

That would be a tough bunch to keep down. Just need Petracca to sort his goal kicking out and for Pedo to get a bit of self belief.

I wouldn't play Fyfe at CHF because he is too good in the middle, I'd go with:

HF: Kent Pedo Trac
FF: Jeffy Weid Watts

Fyfe and Petracca swap midfield/forward all game, with Trac playing about 70% forward 30% mid and Fyfe vice versa.

If Hogan does go I wouldn't mind playing your boy the muss as a 2nd ruck and letting Gawn spend more time deep forward.

Look at how the Bulldogs are playing without a good key forward this year, Fyfe makes us instantly a better team and only the most melbourne of melbourne supporters would think Fyfe is worth less than him
Will wait and see how they go. They haven't won anything yet. Whilst I believe they can do it, history says you need a key forward to anchor the forwardline. Boyd will be this for them, maybe sooner rather than later.

If Hogan said he wants to go home then I wouldnt blink.

Fyfe is a superstar and has no issues kicking goals
I'll be livid if we lose Fyfe for Hogan....You are dead right on Fyfe being a superstar!!

Melbourne's midfield starting in the guts with Gawn,Fyfe,Petracca & Viney would absolutely smash the living $hit out of every other midfield going round in 2017 IMO.

God i hate this time of year! Every year our supporters get worked up over the potential of a superstar landing in our laps! No way Fyfe would be traded for Hogan. Not in a million years would Freo be prepared to do that. If they do, they clearly shouldn't be in the AFL. If Hogan goes, we'll get there first pick and an ok player. Thats it. And anyone saying they would not accept a straight swap for Fyfe clearly has no idea about football.

Yeah I agree they need an anchor, but I reckon an over the hill Travis Cloke can do the job for them
Literally all you need in modern footy is a big fella who stops the defenders taking intercept marks.. they don't have to be any good to help you win a game
Pedo could play the role for 2 more years until the Weid takes over
I'm not at all worried about losing Hogan especially if we get arguably the best player in the game in return

If we got Fyfe, we wouldn't use him as a permanent forward. He'd be our best midfielder and we'd have to find another KPF to replace Hogan.
Agree. We would still need at least a new KPF such as Jack Darling which leaves one of Pedo or Weid for the other KPF. And why shouldn’t we argue for Fyfe in return for Hogan? MFC always seems to get shafted so about time we got a decent return for our loss.

Twice broken leg and a bulging disk in his back. If Freo want to trade him it's probably because his body is in the condition of a late career Gary Lyon.
Not necessarily, just as much chance of Freo wanting to trade him because otherwise they lose him for nothing next year as a Free Agent, and otherwise they'll be trading away a stack to get Hogan.

Regardless, I don't see it happening.

They might do the deal if he doesn't commit to them. About a month ago Fyfe said he was going to explore his options when his contract expires.
