Can we save bumps for this thread for when he signs a new contract extension? So I can stop frantically clicking on it every time I see it has new posts.

Thanks.

Agreed. The suggestion that people should turn away from the Jesse Hogan thread for the sole reason they have nothing of value to contribute, is irresponsible and even dangerous.

Some of us have no where else to turn to on these cold, unforgiving nights and the warm welcoming glow of the Jesse Hogan thread is all that us lost souls have to keep us going.

Praise Jesse and forgive those who are blinded by the supremacy of his holiness.

I must've been sitting directly behind the cameraman, about 10 rows from the fence, when Hogan took that mark. It remains the moment I knew he was something extra special. He had no right to win that contest, let along on someone like Rance, and in the rain, yet he launched at the pack with an eye-bulging ferocity and took the grab, and then slotted the goal from the boundary.

Definitely one of my favourite moments of the year.

That mark and goal you are referring to was my favourite moment of the season along with Vineys tackle on Weller. However, I must mention that this photo is not actually of that mark. He launched over Kennedy-Harris to take it with Rance trailing. Dawes wasn't in the contest for that mark. I'm pretty sure this was a very good dropped attempt from earlier in the game.

I think you're right actually. Still clobbered Dawes though

You're dead right. Sorry, getting my Jesse highlights all mixed up!

Obviously he has huge presence and is an excellent mark, but I think one of his most impressive goals of the year was against the Saints when he turned his defender and slotted it on his left on the run. That and when he sold the dummy to Dalhaus in the first Dogs game made me wayyyy too excited about how talented he is.

The thing I love about Hogan he takes the contested grabs that you think no way will he get it and then the whistle blows ball in his hands. Takes a couple of swaggy steps back before a cheeky stutter to slot a clutch goal

Was great seeing Rance go from arrogantly trying to take marks in contests with Hogan to desperately punching and scragging after realising he was getting pantsed, in the wet.
Yep. I remember the Triple M guys saying in the first quarter that Hoges had his measure and Rance was scared. Loved it.

I love the one where the Sydney defender tunnels him under the ball and he somehow manages to get his fingers on the ball, tips it to himself and puts enough body on the defender to take the mark!
