He’s not slow. No surprise he had his best year when he wasn’t asked to play as the no.2 tall/focal point, and he is yet to play 100 games. Yes, I would like him to up his pressure game, although career wise he’s above average for tackles for a medium forward.
He’s good enough to be a fringe player/depth in a deep finals team. Thats where he’s at.

20-22 31 goals 20-22 34 goals 2023 36 goals 20-24 29 goals 2025 -38 goals average 30.4
Cam kicked 20 goals in 2023 and averages just over a goal a game wuth 5 games going missing and getting a couple of junk time goals.

Im 2025 he kicked 10 goals against rhe bottom 4. 3 against port and snagged 7 against Melbourne. Thats 20 goals against rubbish opposition. Big time player

He doesn’t do enough.

Junk time specialist that does not work hard enough. Too slow and is fringe as ****.

Agreed he does go missing at times and is a bit inconsistent but he isn't fringe in our team n 2026.

What are you talking about?

Those goal tallies might be ‘shit’ by your standards but according to the afl they have Zurhaar’s career goal average as elite compared to all other medium forwards in the comp.

The afl has him average or above average for all his other career stat averages for a medium forward.

We’ve had this dance before.

You have this warped idea that every player has to be an A grader IMO, but fair enough.

I think the concern with Zurhaar is that he seems to be a flat track bully. Immense against weaker teams. Invisible against better ones. It isn’t unreasonable to believe he has to show more when we are under the cosh. Nor is it unfair to offer the defence that he is hardly alone in that.

I never said they where shit i said the exact opposite, i wouldn't have bought those stats up if i thought they where shit and never once have i said they all have to be A graders i believe a handful of A graders is ample and work around them I have no idea were you got that idea,

absolutely. But I dont think he is the man for the future. So in 2026 we should see a completely different forward line post bye.

Lol its funny because you put the stats up and speedy thought they were shit. Because they are hahaha

You kind of already qualified this, but probably because we have been getting destroyed by the better teams for 6 years. Especially for our forwards I’m sure it’s the case for most of them.

Yeah it is a bit comical but if like you say if he is fringe which i don't think he will be we are in a really good spot and like you all i wont is the NMFC to be successful.

Sorry I was replying to DY’s post above yours.

You think we have a perfect team. Its far from perfect. You think our defenders are good, they arent. There is a lot of changes with personnel and tactics. I think you will find the team will look very different to the 2025 one post bye.

Like i said we look at it differently and see somethings differently but at the end of the day all i wont is us to be dominate once again

No, it was meant to be a reply to your post above.

Cam Zurhaar - Elite career goal average compared to all other medium forwards according to afl stats.
Settle down hot shot. 1.3-1.5 goals a game is shit. He punches down and he collects junk time goals. Have a spell. He’s a shit cook too

Dominate pup? I’d settle for us competing hard every game. Not being 100+ doormats against Geelong or giving up 150 to the Hawks isn’t too much to ask!
Dovaston, Curtis and Duursma should be playing in this forward line. Whether Darling or Jy or Zurhaar need to make way then so be it

Harsh but fair

Fair call i will settle for competing hard and then dominating for a sustained period. I have seen four flags i want some more.

Ok we won’t bother comparing him to all the other medium forwards in the comp, just your delusional rating scale.
Why would you compare him against other mediums in the comp when he kicks more than half his goals against the bottom 6 teams in the comp?

Nah you’re right. Lets just keep doing the same thing over and over again.

Why would you compare him against other mediums in the comp when he kicks more than half his goals against the bottom 6 teams in the comp?

You rate Paul Curtis don’t you?

2025 goal average
Curtis 2.0
Zurhaar 1.7

2025 goal average against bottom 6 teams
Eagles tigers bombers dees port saints

Curtis 3.2 (1.2 above average)
Zurhaar 2.5 (0.8 above average)

Who would have thought our forwards kick less goals when we get smashed?

Try again.
