For his own health, there is no way Wood can play next week so Majak will play anyway. And FWIW he was better than Brown in that game despite running out of gas. In fact I think Scott left him in the ground much longer than normal to push that.

I honestly think Majak will end up hurting us more if he stays in our 22. He's game sense is terrible.
That open goal miss was bad but I can wear that (everyone makes mistakes) but what really disappointed me as soon as he missed he walked off to the right pocket with his hands on his hips while he's opponent was free on the left side for a quick easy escape for the kick out which ended up in a fast end to end goal to Daniher. That sorta stuff is what has kept him out of our side.

I've said multiple times over the years at VFL and AFL level that Maj is so often the broken link in the chain.

You can't have players like that in your team.

Maj played a really good all round game the first half, the bloke has shown enough to secure his spot in this team, he was no worse then any of his team mates in the second half, who have a lot more senior experience then Maj.
Fitness will only come with more senior level experience Maj has the ability to take great marks, ground level pick ups and is deceptively quick, the club needs to be looking urgently at the future starting next year while trying to keep winning form now.

Maj is a great back up and support for Goldy but he must be given a fair go not just used when we play weaker opposition. I think it is unfair to have him singled out there are plenty of players in our team who are gifted games after poor performances this bloke can be a great part of our future but needs to be given the chance to get better and that won't happen playing reserves games.

We either play him more or trade him and watch him flourish at another club no point in having him on our list if he is not given fair exposure.

Arsenal FC,
Agree 100%. Give him an extended shot at it like the 'prodigal son' Brown has had 40 odd games to prove himself. Has brown ever kicked 6 goals in a game? The answer is no. Majak provides flexibility in the ruck and is damaging up forward with his aerial ability and pace.

We get it you don't like brown. You really think in that final against essendon a few years ago that if it was daw not brown he would have iced those goals to give us the win?

Majak is behind Petrie, Waite and Brown and fair enough, we can't play them all at once. The issue is Durdin and McKay are years away from regular AFL footy. Not necessarily just my view.

Leaves us at the very latest post 2017 with Brown ?? Hansen is about cooked unless Nielson comes on and we can chuck Tarrant fwd we're pretty well ******.

We need Majak to continue and be given enough games to keep him interested enough to sign a new deal. I think he could be 27 before he 'arrives'. Which will no doubt have people questioning why we'd bother, there's a million dollar answer- Tom Boyd. In all the years Majak has been on our list we've had ample drafts to recruit other big options and we've only Brown to show for it.

These type of guys don't grow on trees and if they did you'd want a top four pick to get one.

I'm well on board the Maj bandwagon✔️

Excitement machine, now with added versatility.
Brings something different to the team and provides much better ruck support then brown

You know what's happened in the 5 games Brown hasn't played since he made his debut? We've lost each and every one of them. But no, let's drop the 'prodigal son' for someone who kicked 6 goals 3 years ago.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Maj doesn't deserve an extended crack in the seniors after yesterdays game, but your logic is just ridiculous. I seems as though your unfounded blind hatred for Brown is still clouding your judgement on his abilities and the attributes he brings to the team.

Back to Maj, I really liked what I saw yesterday. We all know he's got the raw talent, but it looked like the knowledge and intent was there. Most of his pressure work and tackles were spot on, with the intent to really hurt the opposition. Deserves to at least play next week and has the potential to cause some real carnage against Carlton's defense, but we certainly can't play all of Waite, Petrie, Brown & Maj. A good problem to have, no doubt!

You are such a rubbish poster. Putting something in quotation marks doesn't mean anyone has ever said it either.

If we ever play 5 talls in the same team again Scott has lost the plot. Baffling at selection and even worse watching it yesterday

Not enough tank to play in the ruck, not enough smarts to play in the forward line.

Still think if he is going to make it it's going to be as a forward more-so than a ruck.

We don't need Daw playing great consistent football this year, we need to build him to replace one of Drew or Waite next year, who knows it may not even come till 2018, let him rotate through as we rest talls, if form dictates he takes someone's spot, or would those against Daw just prefer to wait for Durdin or McKay to step up, if they can?

What we have learnt from yesterday, Daw isn't as useless as some in here would like to think.

Certainly did enough to show that he's worthy of selection. Liked his good use of handball and physical pressure, both of these are areas he's improved on.
But he still has the moments where he looks a bit lost (had his back to the play a couple of times/slow to man up at kick ins at times).
Can't see us continuing to play such a tall forward line and someone has to miss out, assuming that'll be Maj.

Why do all you guys get into this awful, negative, soul-destroying, completely unnecessary sh**tstorm over two of our young guys, each of which have huge upside and will, hopefully, be the cornerstones of our forward setup in the future?
