so why was his knee strapped from the first bounce?
Obviously as protection in the wake of his previous knock, but he was moving well, and jumping well.

After tonight's knock he couldn't even jump at centre bounces. He was toast!

The fact you're implying you know more about a player's fitness than the club medical staff and the player himself is quite startling
From now on every time you share an opinion they may vary from the party line, you wont need to remind me to post this post right back at you buddy.

I would never question or doubt the professionalism of the club's coaching and medical staff when it comes to a player's fitness pre-game. I think you were out of line in doing so, as unless you've spoken to Goldstein himself and he's said "they forced me to play when I wasn't right," you would have absolutely no idea on the matter.

Players take the field at less than 100% all the time.

I thought it was pretty obvious this was the case with Goldy last night.

Not disputing that, but rather taking exception with the fact Rooboy96 labelled it a "disgrace that we made Goldie play injured" in a post above. This is fairly insulting toward our medical staff and Goldstein himself for putting the hand up.

it is a disgrace if Goldie played with any sort of injury cloud when

a/ this is our year
b/ we have Daw waiting in the wings
c/ Goldie is too important
d/ a home and away win against Sydney is not that important

But FFS, If I say sorry will you stop having a sook?

At the expense of who? Petrie perhaps deserves a spell, but I think bringing Wood in would give our forward line a change in dynamic.
you may be right, but who are you bringing Wood in for? Petrie? and can Wood play ruck cause if you take Drew out for Wood and Goldie goes down, who is looking after the ruck for the remainder of the game, Brown and ??? fingers cross that doesn't happen in an important game.

I think Petrie needs a couple of weeks with the Bees to get his confidence up. Wood in just gives our forward line a greater deal of versatility. Mason can play high or deep In the unlikely event that Goldstein goes down and misses a significant chunk of the match, then Brown and Waite would share the ruck duties.

wow Waite in the ruck, now there is a novel idea, I can only see that ending in tears. You do know Waite is

you would allow our best performing forward to be beaten up in the ruck just to see Wood play.
