No one has ever said on this forum that Maj is a better forward nor did i. Waite was injured and shoudn't have played so relax and take a chill pill.
"Playing a fit Waite" is all well and good if he is actually fit !
I think Saturday night again proved we can scored better with two key forwards, and a relief ruck. So this Waite is better then Maj as a key forward. is a defunct argument now..

By your logic we should just play Maj solely as relief ruck and then on the bench. And our forward structure would have proved a different story had they kicked straight.

The argument is whether what Majak adds as a relief ruck outweighs what we lose in the forward line compared to Waite, Petrie, Brown. Until Maj shows something in the forward line, the argument is well and truly alive.

Playing one game in six weeks might give you an insight into his fitness.. Don’t need to be on the inside to know that.
Waite's finished for the year Daw to play pivotal role in finals campaign:)

OFFS, I don't think my logic has changed since about round 9, start him off as a roaming second up/mid to ragdoll a few superstars, then relief ruck then some time on the pine, come back on for a 10 minute stint on the forward line replacing both Drew/Waite and Brown whilst they have a 5 minute break each and tell Maj to just smash packs whilst going for marks and repeat four times a game.

I would much prefer to see the flexibility that playing two key talls offers then the some old triple towers that delivered, first half or second half on Saturday night. I don't call Wood a key forward, not in today's game anyway.

The Majac train is just starting to gather momentum. Yes he has come from a long way back and finally we see him not just drop players with bone shattering tackles but then back it up without compromise. That hard nose attitude and mentality has been missing as if to almost not want to be to physical
on the field. I would actually like to see him cop a few more jumper punches from the opposition so we can find out just how hard he can go or if he packs up and goes home when the real questions are asked.

yes we have to know, and we will only know by him playing with the big boys.

If that wasn't a successful audition for promotion to the 1's, i haven't seen one, was taken off late in the game too, i will be shocked if he doesn't get a gig this week, irregardless of so called "structure" arguments, Waite is too valuable for finals to be risked at < 100% fitness

Daw has a wonderful set shot routine.

I really think he'll excel at a utility type role in the 1's. Ruck relief, forward duties and a ruck rover type role where he is to ball hunt and hunt the ball carrier. Continuity thanks Bard, although Daw is your 'easy drop' when we have a bad game...

Surely the amount of time, effort and patience we have put into Maj will be repaid when he resigns with us.

Unique case with the court hearing , delisted and picking him up again when no other team was interested.

Every other resigned player has repaid the faith and I see no difference here with Maj.

Well he should get a run now with Waite missing for next 3 - 4 weeks. Perfect opportunity against top teams to see if he can cut it.

If only he could bring the sort of leading and marking we see in the VFL on a regular basis he will be a star.
Hopefully Maj can receive some clean ball i50 so he can lead up and mark. Would love to see Wells and Dumont feeding him. Against the midfielders after this week it may not be that easy.

The time has come, Maj must know there are no other talls left and he has a few weeks to prove himself, NN looks like we wont die wondering afterall. :thumbsu::thumbsu: Best of Luck Maj.

fingers crossed Brad gives Maj license to run around and cause pain. :ambulance::ambulance::ambulance::ambulance:
