. He will not kick a bag against quality defenders. It's pointless playing him against Rutten and Talia next week. They are too smart for him. He would have to get lucky to have any influence on the match.
Quoted so you can't ninja edit when he does next week.

The bloke isn't a star by all means but he does what any 4 game afl player does. Fades in and out of games.
Hes show more than tarrant did in 4 games and taz is a definite best 22 kpf

Tarrant is a better forward against proper defenders.

You have been conned mate.

Taz is now but he's had more time than majak.

Leigh flag out refuses to say anything positive. So do you mate, if this was Hansen you'd be all about the nurture but the truth of the point is we aren't carrying a kpf when we don't have anyone else to come in are we?

No, it would be about poor delivery.

Teffy has made a call he is desperate to back up - that is Majak is not going to make it. He wanted him dropped last week and he kicked 6.

Anyone that thinks Maj will not have some lows is kidding themselves, but he is 5 games in and has shown he can do things that Tarrant and Hansen cannot.

Black is the one to get excited about thoug.

I would keep playing him regardless.

If Tarrant was fit and firing I guess the question could be asked, but this is a player who needs game time against good body players to learn.

He won't get that in the VFL.

Anyone could see last night coming from Majak's point of view.

Speaks down of him quite a bit, noticed on game day last weekend but it was almost with glee that he was subbed out last night.

Why the hate Leigh?
Maybe Leigh isn't used to seeing players like Majak. He did play at Hawthorn prior to the 2000s after all. :D

Drew was pretty much useless for three quarters as well. It has to be fitness with Maj, juts looked like he couldn't run.

He got shifted off the ball very badly on occasions last night. It was a little bit embarrassing for a bloke with his physique actually.

He's a 3rd-4th KPF and switch hitter ruckman. Nothing more. He completely lacks any footy smarts and he can't play anywhere else. He's nice icing but that's it. You can't build a side around him.

I'm with Snake on this one. He has huge potential and is massively exciting, but Maj's highlight tape doesn't add up to his total output. Someone said, "what if he'd clunked those marks." Exactly. At times what he tries to do is more exciting than what he achieves. The hype is just that - hype. He's played 5 games and one has been very good, one doesn't really count and the others have been ordinary at best. Settle people.

Mate, I think the point being made is that Leigh does not expect Majak to play like a superstar, because right now he isn't one. Everyone wants him to be, including Leigh and every North supporter. By all means be hopeful for the future, even optimistic, but until Majak is capable of kicking multiple goals against good opposition, all the hype is just a bunch of media fluff and nonsense.

Maj should be playing again next week. Barring injury or suspension I think the side will go in unchanged against Adelaide.

I think that Teffy is once again angling for his boy Hansen to being played up forward. :stern look

Maj was poor against West Coast. But so were Wright and Thomas up forward. Especially disappointed with Thomas. For an experienced player he really did stink it up. But let's drop Maj because I want to be proven right about the guy. :stern look

Back to Maj and long term. He will have these sort of games. Now dealing with some quality defenders it will take time to learn and adjust. Initially he may very well be just a flat track bully. But he is now 22 and it is time to continue his development with senior experience. That's not say if he is struggling and Taz is right to continue to play him in the One's. But the way I see it he can only continue to improve and senior experience can only aid his development.

Should have had three or four marks last night, was a very disappointing return considering the passes he had coming to him.

The amount of build up and pressure on the bloke is just plain bullshit considering where he is coming from.

At this stage. Tazza is a long way in front of him.

You need to see past the fanboi bullshit.

He is currently hopeless against any defender that can use their body properly and he is pretty much useless anywhere else on the ground aside from contesting the ruck hit outs.

We can't afford to carry a KPP against good sides.

Yeah so true, I just thank my lucky stars Drew's a big game player, otherwise might be two KP's we're carrying.

If I was a north supporter I'd want commentators to be playing down Daw as well. There is a ridiculous amount of overexposure of him as it is. Bruce orgasming every time Daw jumps for a ruck contest or takes a mark is no good for anyone.

Just leave him alone to develop his footy.

There can be only one...
Leigh said several times that he is a work in progress and there is a bit too much hype about him. It is not hype we are building or can control, but I don't think he bought into the NN vs Maj hype. It was a bit too much pressure for him. He will get better as he manages the nerves.

Of course I do! Only a complete freakin' moron would see it any other way.

What you saw when he moved out from FF was what I saw week in week out in the VFL. Vanilla.

He's a flat track bully FF at the moment and nothing more. He will not kick a bag against quality defenders. It's pointless playing him against Rutten and Talia next week. They are too smart for him. He would have to get lucky to have any influence on the match.
Thing is, if Truck or Talia goes to Daw then that means either Drew or Black gets the third defender. And you have to be happy with that!

Matthews bears a lot of ill will toward North, goes back to his playing days with the Mayblooms. Sniping maggot.
well he was BFNMAAK.

Still got his hands to the ball and dropped a few he should of taken. Did ok in the ruck, which allowed Goldie a spell. When he was deep forward not many Eagle backs were taking marks.

Sydney won a flag last season with worse KP's than him. He brings pressure and the unknown,, I agree Zondor the young fellow stays in.

I think we need Majak in the side. Did anyone else notice how absolutely out on his feet Goldy was in that last quarter? He was brilliant but carried a massive load, you could see cox/natanui really getting on top, going up uncontested in the ruck on numerous occassions. Now majak's ruckwork early was pretty solid but i felt he tired quickly and against arguably two of the best rucks in the comp it was always going to be a challenge. Against most other sides he will be valuable for giving Goldy more chop out time.
Majak stays as far as i am concerned no one should expect a 22 year old 5th gamer KPP to a go over to a hostile subiaco and play well.

Next week back at etihad, fast track, smaller ground.. Majak to bounce back with a good contribution.
