Fact - Daw being out for six months will hinder his 2014

Fact - Having the op 1 or 2 months ago would have lessened the impact

These are unarguable facts and a poor result from our medical team. No one has commented on previous management of players.

But the fact is that this is a poor result.
Fact: You or no one else on here has no idea how the injury has been progressing over the course of the year or if it has been aggravated in the last week.

Fact: Those in charge of the medical department have been outstanding and do not deserve criticism from people adding 2 and ? together to get 4.

Unless of course you know specific details of the injury, otherwise I apologise.

My only knowledge is that it was a condition that he has had since at least the start of the year. And as per the media release it has been "managed" throughout the year. And that now Maj will miss 6 months.

As I said, a poor result.

Succinct medical diagnosis.

Its like you picked up a book, read the blurb and said 'shit book'.

Unfortunately given the timing this could really set back his development quite a bit. Missing pre-season really sucks; his lack of a tank was clearly the main impediment to his senior opportunities (as well as a lack of game sense). Hopefully he can get back early-ish next year and start building up his fitness levels.

Very interesting time ahead for Maj. He is what 22?
As someone who should be more mature and more adapted to the life of AFL footy and just what hard work, dedication and professionalism is needed to make it, I hope all summer he is steadfast in his want to come back a better and improved player. Can easily take rehab in a laid back fashion, struggle away in the the VFL for all of 2014 and then be at the cross roads about whether hell be able to fight his way into a September unit.

Over to you Maj. Good luck mate.

I think some people are also disregarding the need for Maj to get actual game time. He is a little unlike other footballers in that regard, his development is as much about learning the basics of the game as it is about time trials in the pre-season.
This is spot on.

Obviously six months out of the game isn't ideal for any player, but the medical team have successfully managed to get Majak the maximum amount of game time in 2013 and 2014.

Those posters criticising the medics for not putting him in for surgery earlier don't seem to be considering the idea that for a player with Majak's experience it is probably better for his development to play more games and miss the pre season. It seems a logical option to minimise the number of footy games he misses than to have him miss games and spend more time in the gym and on the running track. He's a natural athlete, he needs to be playing footy as a priority above training.

Cheers. Just want to make this clear though: it's a piss-take because that front page reflects the diabolical standard of political debate in this country. I'll be voting informal.
I'm not sure whether to go formal, semi formal or informal - probably depends on which restaurant we head to after the polling booth - but regardless, kicking that mob out will be an absolute delight!

And I find it quite funny that the medical team that has delivered the best injury results in the AFL for the last few years is getting a caning from supporters who have no idea of the medical history of this injury.
I don't find it funny I find it ridiculous, how many whining bitches we have for supporters, talk about being like Richmond.

where better then this.
