I know, it's strange isn't it
I'm usually pretty worried about most games, but looking at it realistically, not from a nervous nelly's POV, if we're serious about finals footy, we should belt the dogs over here, they've beaten nobodoy really, and play a massive number of their games under the roof. They beat us in round 1 after our main defender went off in the first 10 mintues, and we were still in the game right up until the end. We've improved a huge amount from the first few weeks of the season. Plus Nic will likely be back and ready to tear the comp apart.

Hawthorn Sydney and bulldogs still capable of crawling over the top of us . The bulldogs game and adelaide game are blowtorch almost finals like .. saint kilda game is dangerous if we are complacent as it will be st kildas gf.

barrass and nelson played good games against peel . east perth flogged em on peels home ground too . peel had 15 dockers with all their talls . I certainly wouldnt mind jackson nelson coming back in
Playing around with the Predictor and if we only win 1 from 3 we will finish 4th or 5th depending on if the Bullies loose to North.
Pinning our hopes on North doesnt fill me with confidence. Would be nice if they rolled Freo, though!

If we beat western bulldogs we dont have to beat adelaide to finish 4th with hawthorn and sydney 2nd 3rd . which should then be a first final against freo .. thats not too bad a scenario

I know this isn't a popular opinion but I would rather finish 3rd and play the Hawks at the G. You can not buy that sort of experience in a build up to the GF.

Thats a positive spin especially if winning against Hawks first up gets you a week off , being so thin on the injury thread tho I would prefer finishing 1 or 2 for home ground or 4 to play freo

None of the coming games are easy, as such, but pretty confident we can win all three from here to finish second or even first if Freo fall in a heap.
The Derby win was important for us as we now know if we come up against Fremantle during the finals we will not be scared!

Bullies coming off a 6 day break travelling from Perth so North would be a chance. I dont want to have to pin our hopes on North though, ick.

Adelaide/North/Geelong awaits us in the first week if we finish 5th. Then a likely trip to Sydney. Would rather finish top 4.

We just knocked off the top team after running the defending premiers to within 14 points and beating Sydney. We have three games to come against 4th, 8th and 13th, two at home, and people are talking about if we will make top four? When are we going to gat a little of our swagger back?

It's hard to be swaggering around 100% because of our damn injuries . I'm still quietly confident that WCE will finish 2nd or 3rd I don't mind as long as we get the 2 nd chance option .

this is a great draw for us. we have the toughest draw out of the other teams in contention for top 4 ( freo is close 2nd). this is a good warmup for us. if we win all 3 we are toughened up and will be rewarded with a home QF. if we drop to 3rd and lose a game we still in better frame of mind than lets say hawks who play lions and carlton and dont get tested. its a win win situation for us. I'm perfectly fine to play hawks in QF at the G. we coming back off games against hawks, freo, dogs, adelaide and will keep that intensity going.plus thats the game where i can see hawks losing to us.
Crows game only one im worried about.
Exactly. And although the Dogs have looked pretty good this last month, they've all been against bottom sides and at home. Coming over here to face us will be completely different.

Looking forward and a little back, since the loss to the Hawks at home and the win against Freo.
If we continue to win from here our only travel would have been our shortest road trip to play Adelaide in the 9 weeks leading up to the GF.
No team has wont a flag from 4th or lower since the current finals system came into action so we kjust got to keep winning.
Win next three games, get back injured players, win home final, have week off, win another home final, anything can happen. Simples.

After last night my opinion has changed. I think throw everything at this week and get top 4 stitched up then rest everyone for Adelaide, have a light run for everyone against saints then finish 4th and smash Freo in first qualifying final. Second spot means home game against Hawks, 4th means home game against Freo. I think freo is going to be an easier game but also it will piss Freo off losing their home ground advantage and we don't have to wait that much longer to see every west coast player drive their forearm into the face of Suban. Win win win

Or, and call me crazy, we win all three games play Hawthorn at Subi with Nic Nat, Gov and more back, earn a prelim at home and give ourselves the best possible chance of a grand final berth on the back of good form.
Mclovin and Schofield are both listed as 1-2weeks.Mclovin might be a chance v Adelaide?
IMO you guys want to keep winning and finish second,face Hawthorn in a home QF.If you have your two key backs and NN playing Hawthorn,you'd win IMO.Then you guys would be a lock to play in the GF.
