That was awesome.Speaking of beastmode
Up there with Barry Cable and Jimmy K.If he had even average pace, he’d go down as close to our best ever midfielder.
I've seen it with Jed and Cunners actually.Amazing. I've watched a lot of footy and seen a thousand contests. But I don't think I've ever seen footage of someone who is actively scared of contact with someone else on a football field. Most AFL players are used to being the biggest baddest fish in the pond, and I think it's very rare to see actual fear distilled into one contest. That is just Atkins recognising who Cunnington is and getting scared of it and pulling out of the contest. Incredible
The very essence of "fu** around and find out". Atkins chose not to fu** around
Part of his charm is his unique take on language.Leave King Dermie alone. One of the few commentators who has time for us and he offers far more astute special comments than most out there.
I don’t like to harp on about regular season games but go back a couple of years ago to Rhyces caretaker games against Collingwood and Richmond, I haven’t seen that much shirk from an opposition team since the 90’s.Amazing. I still haven’t found my remote...The handball to set up Atley is as good as I've seen. Powell must have watched it going "there is another...."
When Shaun missed the ensuing shot on goal I almost launched the remote. Deserved better

they were genuinely scared to pick up the ball.
Full strength, we’d be a knightmare to match up in finals.A lot of the players that were dishing it out are still on the list.
I'd very much like for us to get the new system down then add the physical aspect back in.

So freaking happy that Powell gets to learn from this guy.
Interesting that no commentator made comment about the Cats player pulling out of the contestThat was awesome.
Couldnt think of a better mentor.....his hands are arguably the best in the business, his positioning at stoppages second to noneWas it Noble saying after the game that cunners is enjoying developing the young mids.
Might help keep him around a year or two longer.
He has to be up there..........would love to have seen him in that 90s team.......imagine him running around with Duck, Arch, Mick, Pyke, Pickett etc....My favourite ever Shinboner. Love him.

Knows exactly where to be with or without possetion. He is the spacial awareness king.Powell in the perfect position to receive from the contest.
We need 3 of him.Was thinking when he took that mark yesterday he would probably be our best forward right now. That's both a compliment to him and an indictment on the rest of the squad.
They have a very soft underbelly.Interesting that no commentator made comment about the Cats player pulling out of the contest
