sure you could. Questions are easy.

blue or white shorts? Blue. I question the taste of anyone who says white.

who was the better contested mark? Dangerfield or Gary Ablett senior. -Im undecided on this one. Need more evidence.

No we don't.

Ablett senior. By a mile.

Q10. WHO IS OUR MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER IN 2018, AND WHY?

It would be easy to say the obvious. Danger etc. but maybe its someone like Smith. He plays a role that few others can..if stays fit and wins the B&F.. it would be a huge difference to him playing 2 games before he did a PCL etc. Maybe Ablett ..if he plays to his dream best.

Make it a country mile.
i saw danger take contested marks last year that i didnt see ablett take. Ablett is in the top five contested marks ive seen. I think danger could be in that boat as well. He is incredibly underrated in this area. We will see this year assuming he aint injured as i think he will play more forward.

Really? I saw Ablett take every conceivable type of contested mark. Dangerfield can take a pack mark now and then if he gets a good run at it. Ablett did it regularly. He took high marks regularly. His one on one strength was phenomenal. He pretty much pioneered taking one-handed marks which very few players even attempted then.

I don't think Dangerfield's contested marking is underrated, he's as good as any player his size in the competition.

it's no disrespect to Danger to say he is a mile behind Snr in terms of contested marking

Yep. It's interesting because if you asked me (and I reckon a few others) who was taller, we'd say Ablett senior immediately. Deceptively tall is Dangerfield. Like a few modern midfielders I guess.
Dangerfield 1.89

Joel Corey 1.91

Dangerfield 1.89

Joel Corey 1.91
there you go, I always thing of Corey as huge... and Danger just a midfielder height, which in todays age is right

Maybe, but we seem to go allright when Hawkins is out, sometimes better.
The one game I remember without Danger we were f**ked.
Yeah for one week when he gets suspended. Then again lost to a poor Eagles side without him. Lose him for the year and I guarantee your tune will change.

Q10: Danger is our most important player.
Q10b: No disrespect as he's a great mark, but Danger not on the same planet as Gazsnr.
I have to disagree on 10b. The gap, if it exists, is no where big as what people think. Ablett had a better leap but dangers reach is better. I cant split pre 93 ablett from danger anymore in terms of strength in the marking contest. Both are beasts. danger might not be quite as strong as 94-95 ablett when ablett was in peak beast ape mode but gary had lost his leap by then.

I will give you this:

Let’s judge after watching PFD play a year at full forward.

And while he’s one of the very, very few midfielders in the game who possibly could make it as a forward, I’m not convinced that he would kick 124 goals in 17 games.

Certainly not in the current era. I reckon he could kick 60-70 though.

neither am I. Abletts clearly the better forward. He wasnt only an excellent contested mark but was as good as any roving forward pocket going around in roving a pack (Danger has none of those skills) and Ablett also had excellant forward craft. Knew exactly how and when to lead, when to go up and when to stay down.

He wouldn't pass off too many that's for sure

Don't get me wrong I'd hate to lose him for a whole season but I remember the Tigers & Pies games last year which weren't easy games and we won both without Tommy, also a game against North in 2016 where we looked fantastic without him.
We had no Danger in 2015 and finished 10th then rocketed up to 2nd in 2016 mostly because of him.
So to me he's easily our most important player.

Different circumstances to now though. We could send Harry forward last year. Can’t this year. Hawkins as the correct answer is as close as a Black Caviar race!

Yeah fair enough. I hear what your saying but Ablett still took plenty of those one handed one out marks pre 93 though. Against some really strong backmen too.
I haven't seen Danger do too many of those on say a Rance or a Talia yet.
I know what your saying though but I sort of disagree with it a bit Lol.

Also loved Abletts timing where he could split a pack wide open and take the grab on the way down a unique talent.
