Not sure what some of you are expecting of a first year small forward?

When you have guys like Gresham and Perkins who both look like they're running in quick sand and are the main culprits as to why the ball comes out of our forward line so easily.

Yet lets pot a young bloke who is the only one that chases and harasses consistantly, FMD some people are pathetic.
Debate is different to giving a ‘pot’ on a player mate.

No one is saying he’s crap like you’re alluding too

Really liked the look of him spending time in the midfield. That was something new. Definitely seems like he'll be able to play that 60% forward, 40% midfield type of game where you can add him into the midfield to inject some pace etc.
It'll be valuable as we continue to bolster our small forward stocks.

Yep. Really enjoyed watching him go through there and should only improve. Looking forward to seeing many runs back towards goal with other mosquito fleet forwards, El Achkar and Dove, causing havoc.

inject some pace? he really is not quick for an afl footballer, especially for one playing as a small forward. he's consistently getting run-down, failing to get out of trouble as quickly as he thinks he can, and doesn't close space on opposition defenders with any particular speed.

I think he has a burst of pace over the first 5-10 metres but his top speed is not great

Should be shut down for the year imo and let him get ready for preseason. There’s literally no positive reason as to why they need him to play out the season at this point, all they will do is cook his body early on.

He is about to have a 2 month break, unless his body is showing signs of distress there is literally no reason to end his season now, we need games into these kids, they are far more valuable than sitting in the grandstand.

1-2 games more to end the season isn’t going to do much with his body starting to feel the affects of his first afl season, seasons that are longer than ever and he’s 19. An extra couple of weeks of would do the world of good coming into his second season, which is usually the toughest year for young players.

He's a gem, exquisite skills below the knees to gather at pace and under pressure with genuine damaging decision making. We have to find him help to fully unlock his potential...

He sort of has a bit of a GA Jnr build and speed profile about him. Not real tall, low centre of gravity, initial speed burst but not a top end sprinter and can get a possession away most times off balance.

I really like that they've given him some CBA time too

Going to enjoy Isaac for many years to come I feel #10

If he was going to be rested it would have been 2 or 3 weeks ago to get him through, he hasn’t even been subbed on or off so they clearly don’t think he needs it, an extra two weeks rest on top of 2 month would really do **** all, 3 more games under his belt will be much more valuable going forward.

Come on now people.

Look at the size of our injury list - we don’t exactly have much latitude to either drop kids who otherwise would be due to lacklustre form, or rest players for that matter.

Tends to take the team friendly option more often than not. I would love to see a bit more killer instinct in front of goals in his second year.

He hasn't exploded out of the blocks this year but overall I think he's tracking very nicely.
