But nothing beats his cameo as Chris Newman's pool cleaner on the RWS all those years ago. What a fantastic career. Lots of games, premiership, AA and club captain.
And he is a great mentor to the younger guys, especially indigenous. We're lucky to have Sheds.
No. He did that early on in his career, and he was ordinary to poor. (Read the old Shane Edwards threads). He's not a great defensive player in one-on-ones.Anyone else get hard about the thought of Shedda coming off a back flank from now on?
This. The irony back in the Terry Wallace days, playing hb and getting slammed by BF posters.No. He did that early on in his career, and he was ordinary to poor. (Read the old Shane Edwards threads). He's not a great defensive player in one-on-ones.
Yes, he's a better player now, but he has some skills that very few other players in the league have - the 'magic hands'. He sees things earlier than other players and has the skills to create chances out of nothing
Yeah, sure he'll maybe get it more across half-back, and he'll pinpoint 20-metre chip passes out to the wings just fine. But he won't be anywhere near as damaging as he can be forward of the centre - even if he gets less possessions.
Refer to the GF 2017 for an example (to choose a game at random). But you need slo-mo to see everything he does, because some of it is spectacularly quick.
Yeah to back this up, drafted at 65kgs, probably played hb at that time at a playing weight under 75kgs, now 81kgs and a much better one on one playerThis. The irony back in the Terry Wallace days, playing hb and getting slammed by BF posters.
But what the difference is from the early parts of his career, he's put on a few kgs and not a stick, and he's got way more confidence to take the game on.
