This weeks inside 50 has a highlights video of Nico, shows how good he was before his ankle injury.

Yes, he was even being touted as AA by Healy before that injury. Seems a long time ago now, but he has come back strong this year. Liking his work!

Congrats to Nico, really happy that he reached the ton. Sounds like he is really valuable to the club on and off the field.
Really good bloke too. See him most years volunteering at Telethon.

Congrats to Nico, I didn't think he was going to make it. It's fantastic to see the belief and faith he received from the coaching staff, it must have been a huge help for him in his recovery from injury.
On the 1st of Feb this year I had knee surgery for the 5th time and unfortunately contracted a MRSA infection in my bone, I've been on antibiotics for 5 months and still have a long way to go, but I tell ya what having the support of those around you is huge. My work hasn't missed a beat in supporting me even though I've taken large amounts of time off with multiple follow up surgeries and flights to Perth.
It's left me really enthused to repay the support and faith shown in me.
I hope Nico has a huge one on the weekend, we'll need all the the players to have blinders if we're gonna get over the line.

You don't win the Mainwaring Medal without strong character and that article today shows us just a little bit more of the character Nicoski has and also shares with others.:thumbsu:

If this guy plays in a premiership he'd be one of the most deserving players to have won one, hope he does.

His mentoring of the young guys through injury and the bond they seem to be developing sounds really good for our future, just shows the comradery building between the older guys and the kids coming through. Sounds like we are developing a strong group who will bust their guts and bleed for each other.:thumbsu::)

Watching that highlights package it's fair to say he played most of his best footy wearing No31 which just happened to be prior to his run of injuries that started during the 2006 season.

Great to see that the club stuck by him and thot both the club and Nico are reaping the benefits now he's back in shape again.

That article was a great read and I agree with what bz said earlier - seems like the sort of person who would make a great development coach.

Hopefully he has a blinder in his 100th and helps get over the line tomorrow.

Nico is one of those guys that the club has shown great faith in and stuck by him and he's now paying dividends. Well done to him on his 100 and hope he can turn in a blinder and do some real score board damage for this one. :thumbsu:
