One of the critcisms of the Hinkley regime has been that we haven't developed a genuine star under their watch apart from Wingard who then regressed significantly.

That's no longer true.

DBJ is an elite defender and is now an All Australian. Jonas is in the same category apart from the AA nod, but he's now made 3 squads. We have plenty of others who have significantly improved their form, even the likes of Wines who never really looked like he was going to reach his potential spent the 2nd half of the year playing absolutely blistering inside mid football.

DBJ has some of the cleanest hands in the game. One grabs almost everything. Seems like this year he's added a little bit of core strength to go with his agility, he's a hard man to bring down when moving through traffic. Great ability to keep steady when the body pressure is on.
