That was the tale of the tape going into 4th test. On paper India was completely overmatched even ignoring Australia's record at the gabba. Match was one of the great upsets & test victorys.
Didn't hurt that advantage switched between both sides all match & was decided at the very end of final day by a thrilling knock (& Pujura's dogged innings).
Forget the recriminations for a moment & just appreciate a great result.
 
It's incredible to look back to Day 1 and see the Indian line-up without Bumrah and Ashwin to go with Jadeja from the 3rd test.

Add the Aussies winning the toss and batting first, 500+ surely looked on the cards.

To bowl the way they did after being on the ropes a bit while Wade and Labuschagne were going, is a credit to them.

Not to mention the early breakthroughs that prevented earlier momentum generating. Sharma's catch in the first over was pivotal in establishing momentum within the playing group.
