By seasons end, zaka will have established himself in the competition as an elite player. Can almost bet my house on him kicking a goal, while streaming into the forward 50. Gem.

There are still a few things that need to be rounded out in his game. His goal kicking conversion is horrible and his kicks to leading players can be quite average.

I said it after ANZAC day but, if there is a point at which a player joins the elite, it is killing it against the best competition in the biggest games.

Is a good player, will be a very good player.

Looked like he got pretty tired on Friday, but it's understandable given the nature of the injury he has overcome.

Big call comparing Zaka to Ablett, I'd be very happy if he ended up half as good as junior. Will be entering his prime very shortly, which is very exciting!

He's got all the same strengths, only his old man is probably a better bloke ;)
Great over head for his size, speed, skill, vision, game sense, bullet pass, kicks them at some insanely accurate rate when streaming into the 50, great leader, was born to play for his club. (Let's hope he doesn't leave it)

I can't think of many downsides to his game to be honest. Could end up top 3 of that draft? That's saying something considering the names in that one.
I'd say his awareness off the ball is one area he needs to work on; he can get lost when he has to track back. I don't think it's an effort thing, I think there are times when he just loses his bearings and doesn't know where to go/who to mark. Not surprising for an attacking player, but something to think about tightening up.

Can't argue with how he's performed this year though, finding lots of footy and showing he can hurt the really good teams.

That's a big call BTG.

Will say that Murphy has been solid so far in 2013.
He's starting to rack up high 20s disposals without too much effort or fanfare. As are Watson and Stanton, with Goddard doing the same low 20s. That's ominous.

When Murphy gets 25 touches, it's shouted from the rooftops. With Zaka it's becoming the status quo.

That's an easy fix though, he could have that fixed by the end of the season :) I'm sure they're working on it. You wouldn't be too upset if you had a couple of players on your list where this was their only problem!

He has been well and truly ordinary these past few weeks Yaco.. Having him in. Y SC side and see dismal display after dismal display is getting to me tbh.

Pressure of the captaincy getting to him?

Agreed, his numbers have been decent but his performances have left a lot to be desired. So many times I was watching for him to stand up last week and he just froze.

Doesn't have the same core strength as Ablett.
