Im in same boat, i actually dont mind the saints as my 80 yo uncle goes for them too. Never seen him cry except for the 09 GF so i really hope they can get up one time for him (doubt it though).
Poor guy, all my relos who migrated to aus in the 70's/80s chose hawks (gross) but he chose saints because of plugger.

That would be silly on Gresham's behalf, he's not been able to break in to a STK or EFC midfield that are hardly stacked.

Oh it may well be true, I just think Gresham is silly to think he's going to make it as a midfielder anywhere at this stage.

if it’s accurate i reckon it’s pretty ****ing dumb to want that. he played good footy last year as a connecting forward, playing up the ground a bit and deep if required. he doesn’t have the possession or the skills to be a core midfielder by my eye

Sorry but I can’t believe that to be true. Going back to when we signed him, the club came out and said it was in the high-half forward role. If he was desperate to be a midfielder, he would never have signed with us in the first place. Plus the way he’s playing right now in that role isn’t exactly someone who seems to want out. Reckon whoever C4 is, they’ve got this one very wrong

It's his best position (high half forward with small stints in middle) and having a decent start to the year

Never really know what’s going on behind closer doors. Saints were pushing him out and we overpaid him, which we could afford at the time. He might see it as his last chance to get to a side willing to give him some time in the middle, who knows
