Been nursing a sore hip apparently. Not sure why we wouldn't rest him for a week then. Liked his moments with the ball early on, but he still made a fair few mistakes with the ball. Hopefully something that improves over time

Give him a week off and a couple of weeks in the VFL and limited game time
Kids just about burnt out

I have been so happy with this year though. He's really smashed it and learnt so much about playing AFL.

After Yze's comments on the weekend when he was a late out...

"threw our structures out a bit and we had to play Sonsie on the wing"

It very much points to Trainor being coached and trained to play one of the vacant wing roles.

Has all the tools to do it.

Not sure about that. Didn't Lonergan say they saw him as a defender but hes been playing wing to get games into him?

I know Livingstone gave a summation on the development and likely roles of the draftees.

Seems to me that with our depth of defenders then he has to play wing, might be just one of those accidental things that shows he's suited to the role.

*Edit.........TBH we've been crying out for 2 players that can play wing, Ollie Dempsey might be the closest comparison

I think he ends up Broady's replacement. Hard to find elite guys for that role and think it's probably a more important one as an intercept defender. Probably has another year of wing ahead of him though and may make it his own.

Yeah, edited my post to say that (to me) he projects as an Ollie Dempsey type

It’s never too early to train him over a few positions, you never know when you might need it.

Further to what I just replied to.

He's way better than Dempsey defensively, probably/possibly on a par as a forward.

One of Brown and Banks look like they'll fill Broady's spot.
