Sure he can play, very talented - that's never in question.
It's just his commitment that's in question, and even since he arrived, he's been the one who's had to lose the weight etc.
Then he's in the side, plays 2 or three awesome games, to the point where you think he's turned a corner, then back to inconsistent when you need him the most.
If you can't count on someone, no matter how good they are, it's pointless picking them.

Why hasn’t he gone this path to keep himself warm and away from the soft tissue injuries…I may be on my own here but I like Mitch.
He has been plagued by injury over the journey, whether collision or soft tissue and it must be frustrating.
He seems like a good teammate and I hope he plays well enough to earn another contract.
This could be great. Ideal scenario now is Mitch is stuck on one year contracts, puts in solid performances each year through incentive of being very close to finito, good enough to justify another year not good enough for other teams to offer longer contracts and we might have a very cheap but effective multi position player for another 3 or 4 years.

Story of Mitch McGovern’s career. He will be handy, can cover so many positions and players in our side. Someone who is hungrier when uncontracted.
