so does his bro and he's a ******* wall..........
His brother is a one trick pony, his intercept marking is top class and is a composed kick, but never presents or spreads to make space from kick outs, pretty slow and spends a lot of time on the bench for a key tall defender. If he got AFL fit would be an even better footballer.

I really hope Mitch doesn't think he can get away with half arsed training and become as good as his brother, just won't happen.

Or the old story of Plugger flying to an interstate game a few days after the team and smashed 8 meat pies before the game.

Did you see the Ken Sheldon open mike ep?

I recall that he said that Plugger would drive to greyhound races around the country eating dimsims

true that, is All Australian and saved the game for West Coast in the last 2 minutes of the grand final, but what's he done lately?

Jeremy may be a one trick pony, but that trick destroyed Collingwood 3 times this year; including a grand final winning intercept, play-on and accurate kick which resulted in the Sheed goal. To me he was the Norm Smith medalist, huge for them.

The McGoverns' will never be ripped physical specimens.

In Mitch's case we need to get him consistently on the park to begin with.

Never said Jeremy wasn't elite at a lot of aspects of the game, but if he was AFL fit he would be even better.

My point was I hope Mitch trains hard and gets the best out of himself and doesn't just rely on talent a lone. A lot of talented footballers don't make it in the AFL.

It does concern me that Walsh not having had pre-seasons for a professional club is already more defined/lean.... wonder if Russell was officially with us prior to the decision to get Mitch he'd approve.
Walsh is a raw 17 year old in an elite sporting code, with a different body type. Apples and oranges.
