Sick of mentioning picks and wondering whether we payed too much or didn't.

Fact is we really wanted Mitch and got him.
We'll really only know how good Mitch will be for us next year......not this year.

Welcome Mitch. :thumbsu:
I hope he enjoys our team bondage camps

Or is that Bonding?

Adelaide’s terrible year helped us with this deal in the end. We would’ve been expecting a pick around 40 when we did the deal last year.

Forward line starting to look like it could nearly kick 100 points.
don't be ridiculous......

You got a very talented player. I was hoping for a bit more in return but in all reality I’m just glad this is over and both parties are more or less happy.

I think for all our sakes we should probably just have a few years off dealing with each other now. Let you guys go back to hating Essendon and we can go back to hating Port.

I'd think that business between our clubs is pretty much done. Can see us pursuing Gallucci perhaps in the future, really like him.

Very excited about Mitch.

Just watch his highlights (again, for the 4th time like I am).

So nice.
One seriously impressive highlights reel...kids got immense talent.

One thing to be made clear is he's more a strong marking medium-sized forward, not a slow tall.

His highlights show he's got serious speed so although strong marking is his biggest strength, he's also dangerous on the ground. Showed good speed and kicked some goals from ground-level balls.

So we have our 2 talls and 1 medium sorted...we just need a few good smalls and our forward line is set.

just need some ground level players to feed off the crumbs. Mcadam would have been nice to hold on to

Next year's headline: Carlton make bold double swoop play for Adelaide's Gallucci and Milera.

My Crows fans mates aren't exactly thrilled with the deal which is always a good sign
Don't see how they wouldn't be. A first round pick in this draft for a player who while super talented still hasn't put together a good season of form yet seems fine, maybe even slightly overs.

Don't need small forwards any more.

With Charlie, MacKay and McGovern in the forward 50 the ball will never come to ground! :p

mcgovern is a nice player but i'm super excited for what this means structurally for charlie curnow. in 2019 with mcgovern and mckay keeping the zoning defenders honest the sky is the limit for charlie
Personally don't think will be a huge change in Charlie's role.

McGov is strong marking but is more a medium-sized forward.

However it will mean he should stop getting double teamed like he was at times this year, and that is scary for opposition defenders.

Get the ball I50 at least in a 50/50 situation and not to their disadvantage and McGov and Charlie will wreak havoc.

Correct. Opposition teams are going to have to really think about how they need to defend against us. We should at least have 1 miss-match we should be able to exploit.

However the caveat is that both Curnow and McKay continue their development rise and we get more delivery into our 50 from our midfield.
