Personally don't think will be a huge change in Charlie's role.

McGov is strong marking but is more a medium-sized forward.

However it will mean he should stop getting double teamed like he was at times this year, and that is scary for opposition defenders.

Get the ball I50 at least in a 50/50 situation and not to their disadvantage and McGov and Charlie will wreak havoc.
Indeed, our gameplan forward of centre should be to get the ball in quickly in areas that advantage our 3 main forwards.

No need to play slow and wait for numbers to roll back, I'd bet on our guys winning a 3v3 against most key defences in the competition.

i would suggest that very rarely would we want all 3 inside 50 at the same time and charlie has the biggest tank of them all so it makes sense that he'll spend more time around that 60-80m out from goal area which will cause nightmares for defenders because very few will have the aerobic and aerial ability to mactch up with him and it will leave 2 serious marking threats to kick to inside 50s. and with Levi not there we shouldn't too much of forwards leading to the same spot which will be a most welcome change.

You've done well out of this. He has all the traits and has produced them at AFL level unlike a speculative draft pick.

Only thing Gov doesn't have is luck with injuries. Disappointed to lose him.
Thanks.
I think you guys have done pretty well yourselves with the picks.

666 rule will help us.

Pickett and Fasolo.
fasolo helps but we need more than just him.

i've said here a few times that pickett is not small forward at all. he has no idea where the goals are, not particularly good in tight areas and needs space to use his speed. his position is on a wing or potentially of half back with the field in front of him like lewis jetta. hopefully russell can help him get his body to the point that he can play that role. honestly as a forward he's a total liability.

Happy with this, adds experience to our forward line and takes pressure of Charlie. Charlie, Mitch & Harry will be a nightmare to match up on.. Now we just need a high pressure small forward... Daniel Rioli would be perfect, out of contract next year... god i hope SOS & Fev are in his ear

Welcome Gov. :thumbsu:

Very happy with this, some will argue we paid overs, but Gov is quality and will be long-term for the club, so no issues there at all.

Looking forward to seeing how he fits alongside Charlie and H - fair bit of power up forward now.
