Hutchy backing a homophobic, sexist and racist Tom Morris yet taking this kind of action with Lalor speaks volumes about the culture of the station. Have unfortunately lost a long term listener.
Morris is certainly not that and if you think so i pity you . He was great friends with Barnard , it was a silly slip of the tongue and it cost him a fair bit . I'd worry more about a Sam Newman

i'm sure he has reformed and good on him for doing so - however the commentary was damning and hurtful for a number of group in society, regardless if they were friends or not. You can't enjoy the public spotlight without the responsibility that comes with it. Points remains there is a double standard in my view. Enjoy your day.

People are allowed to pay a penalty and reform , he hasn't assaulted or murdered anyone , look at all the rats that are bailed atm

I get people want to compare it to Tom Morris but every workplace situation is different. He wasn't on the SEN payroll at the time for starters

For whatever reason SEN thought something had to be done and straight away. Lalor was just a freelancer / casual, they could of just made up some BS excuse and not given him work.

If what Morris said about his colleague was a slip of the tongue (and I would agree with you), then why must Lalor face dismissal for a slip of the thumb, as it were, that saw him accidentally advocate for human rights - an internationally chartered concept of which our nation (Australia) is a signatory of?

Morris wasn't employed at SEN when that happened. I think there is a difference.

I get that he has since employed him and given him a second chance in the industry and fresh start but there are plenty of those in workplaces around the country.

In a world of sportswashing and "shut up and play" fans and owners, Hutchy spouting that he wants SEN to be a utopia of acceptance and a celebration of differences is an absolute crock of hot poop, the bloke has no spine and I'm enacting the last tiny sliver of power I have left in this world and boycotting SEN. I'm off to sign up to Lalors substack.

Would be interesting to know if Lalor was reposting stuff about Israel, would Hutchy have been so triggered & Lalor lost his gig on sen?

Because he was relentless

So it's better that you employed him knowing that he was a piece of shit?

That seems a weak argument.

If he was employed at SEN at the time he would of lost his job. That's all speculation.

SEN would say since Morris was sacked from Fox he did what was required to convince them he changed his behaviour. I don't believe that but that's what they would say. He's not the first and won't be the last.

Anyway, its silly to compare the situations and probably disrespectful to Lalor to do so.

He worked about 30 shifts a year. The Cricket media is too small. He isn't taking SEN to the cleaners.
i doubt he will, but he could and he should.

"....employment lawyer Josh Bornstein, who said Lalor could have a case against SEN if he chose to pursue it."

Anyone could have a case in anything until its tested. I am sure SEN has its own legal advice.

We don't even know what went on to compare it to the ABC scenario and the stakes for Lalor are much smaller.

My point was and still is that people on here and social media suggesting Hutchy is going to be taken to the cleaners and facing a huge payout are going to be dissapointed. The company isn't going broke and Hutchy isn't losing his house over this.

sorry, but i’ll take the advice of someone who is not only a lawyer but who specialises in that sphere of the law.

I'd rather listen to Poindexter NFL Play-By-Play than read this thread at the moment.
💰🤓🏈
Im listening to Adam White and Chuck Berry , they have interesting topics and good interviews , in fact Berry should be on more as says it as it is .
Only issue is why have they gone off at 6 54 ?
