They had her on with Tags and another host doing tips for a betting company. Schtick was half the winnings she gets, other half to charity I think (only caught the last 10mins). Her last race comes up and she has 180 as her share, they convinced her to bet it all and it won paying 3bucks. No doubt will be all over off the BenchNo, but I believe her nag came 8th (out of nine) yesterday. It could be off to the glue-factory soon.

Phil Prior. Some people really should be gently told their talents are better suited to off-air roles, though I feel a bit guilty for hanging poo on him here as he has taken time off recently for mental issues, (as well as a replacement hip ). But anyway he was supposed to have left that slot weeks ago and been replaced by a woman named Jenny, though I have heard her only twiceo warm to the new guys - we get the ummer from Sydney
WTF are you talking about ?
Still up TMG , should start to go to bed earlier . SEN goes off as soon as Hargraves comes on and i go to Sportsday .The Overnight Show.
You are tucked up in bed in your PJs by then Bedford. An early riser?
I used to listen to a fair bit of Finey, but now, same as you, I don't listen after 6pm.Still up TMG , should start to go to bed earlier . SEN goes off as soon as Hargraves comes on and i go to Sportsday .

Actually, make that 3pm. Tried giving Andy & Andy a listen, but it's hard work. They might improve once the footy starts.
I like the slower pace of Overnights. And they still have a few odd callers who get on air. (There was a good one on Sportsday tonight...did you hear Roger?) And then there's Chris from the USA who I can't seem to avoid.
I would describe the replacement of Finey and his show this way
You go to a pub Sen (men listeners) hair salon Sen (women listeners) for the first time 2004 , and you think who is this person on the weekends , barman/hairdresser (Finey) , then after a few years the barman/hairdresser gets the evening slot in 2006 , so you go in to see what it’s like in the evening … but you return and you return and return cause you like the rapport that the barman/hairdresser has not only with you but all those others that also come in for a beer/hairstyle.
You enjoy their banter , the friends that they introduce you to , and all the stories that they tell … you can relate to it all , it’s not fake it’s not forced it’s stories about lived experiences all the ones in the pub/hairdresser can also relate to it all.
You enjoy going to the Pub/hairdresser for more than a dozen years ….. then one day …… then one day ……. They show up … the money men show up ….. and change is afoot
Then one day the Pub/Hairdresser is sold and a new evening barman/hairdresser is brought in (Heverin) , “because the new owner wants to attract a new audience”
Your shocked , sad even , but you go into the pub/hairdresser to give the new person (Heverin) a try , but it’s different , it’s not the same pub/hairdresser you loved , that you made time for , the stories aren’t there the friends they brought into the pub/hairdresser no longer go there , you don’t it enjoy now.
After a year the new replacement evening barman/hairdresser (Heverin) is moved to the afternoon shifts , and a revolving door of fill in barmen/hairdressers do the evening slot. As much as now you don’t even know who will be behind the bar/cutting you hair , like you used to. The replacement barman/hairdresser eventually returns to evenings as their afternoon slot didn’t work out , eventually they leave the business.
The owner then replaces the replacement with another evening barman/hairdresser (Hargreaves) to “attract another new audience” but it’s not the same , the new evening barman/hairdresser will tell you how they have all the answers to all the sports problems and doesn’t like their view points challenged , the fun the laughs the banter the guests the rapport just is not the same.
Eventually the replacement replacement evening barman/hairdresser will also move on to something else and another will be brought into “attract a new audience” for the owner.
The Pub/Hairdresser that you used to really enjoy going to , now you really couldn’t be Fecked going anymore , because what you and it seems many others also liked about it , was changed , was finished up , was taken away , taken away by money people that thought they could buy/takeover the Pub/Hairdresser and that they would “fix it” “attract a new audience” “it will be better”
I hope the new owners are silently thinking , “you know we could have kept Finey on”
Weekends i know listen to AW after OTB Grubby Stubbs has a good show and even some evenings , otherwise it's 104 . Never used to change off SEN . I see the Morning show has a new producer , not sure if Trent was moved on.Love it!! Though it requires focus and concentration with the amount of replacements and replacement replacements , liked the analogy even though I do t go to pubs.
I listen to maybe 15-30 mins of breakfast. Sometimes there’s interesting guests. Find the footy talk ok mostly that’s essentially asking the listeners for an opinion.
Working then precludes further listening until drive. But if in the car or on the website it’s 3aw I find. Sometimes switching to sen.

Did he call her a superstar? She called into the Pipe today, dear old thing they have given her some great joy , but there is too much
He wouldn't have got out of bed at the ABC for 150k. Would have to be closer to 3-400, even more.
I know Damo Barrett is a peanut but he's smack bang on the money with his leave claims, the guy is never really in along with the other cattle.
Marty from Adelaide, Anthony from Sunshine, Michael from Reservoir, Hillary - ( whose voice could cut glass) whatshisname from Henley who always reminds us he's blind and how his Sicilian wife left him for another man ...a fun crew
Tom Elliott paid tribute to Kate Paton on his show today
Kate sadly passed away last week
Kate was the RRR newsreader on the breakfast show and later went on to do the sports reporting on Channel sevens Sportsworld in the 1990s with Bruce McAvaney
