Really? Quaynor is nowhere near Simpkins level.
They wouldn’t give Quaynor up and if they would and he would move we’d take it and run. I can’t see who Collingwood would realistically give up that would be a fair swap. But that’s their problem, their midfield needs help, they should be looking at their options.

Will be a future First and fringeish player who actually wants to leave Coll and play each week with us. No way we get a best 18 player.
Cant think of one. Dont underestimate the jy contract. If they pay his full $$, they wont give that much back.
They are shelling out ridiculous amounts for Perryman and Houston, no way they are taking on another player they have to pay a lot to. It’s a tricky one from many angles.

Pay 70% of his salary and try and leverage 26 and 27 first rounders.

They’ll be 12-18 in each year.

But he’s one head knock away from
Being medically retired and not having to pay anything as it will get sorted outside the cap

Pay all of it if we get those picks. Pies could implode at any time.

Kudos tales this is the ruthless thinking I like.

Hawks waiting on Merrett outcome also.
I think this is a good chance and would help us extract a better return.

It would be a bit of a gathering of Clarko's vanquished foes. Jy, who clearly can't work with him. Mitchell, who he also dumped as captain and later shipped off to WC. Ratten who couldn't work with him either after stepping in as coach when Clarko took his break. Funnily enough Ratten was coach when Jy got offered his current contract.

If he goes, Jy is on the second tier of dominos - once the first choice mids (Petracca, Oliver etc) are off the table, contenders like Adelaide, Hawthorn, Pies who are looking to top up will move on to the next option, as Themanbun suggests.

All points to a last minute scramble (if it happens at all)

or my sliding doors ,

if jy wants more midfield minutes,....

i would be playing as much midfiled minutes as jy at collingwood next season.

realistically he would be good depth for them but no way we are paying a percentage of jys wage to offload him when you could sail the bismak through our TPP without going near the cap
