...and the option is to do what and lose more?

Getting sick of the LT bashing.
The option is for LT to limit the rubbish.

Give me a spell Gaso. This thread ain't about bashing LT.

Mark Fine on SEN spoke specifically about LT's game against West Coast and highlighted the same points as the Big DF. They are valid points to raise. Sure it might be for the billionth time on this forum but nonetheless the truth.

And yeah Thomas wasn't on his Pat Malone against the Eagles. Petrie was shit. Hansen wasn't that much better. Campbell once again was poor. Goldy struggled big time in the 2nd half. My set of Car Keys at home could have done a better job in the backline than Delaney.

Simply put Thomas has played over 100 games. Enough of the horseshit and more of what we saw in the first half against the Eagles and in the games against the Saints and Crows.

I think that copping an elbow in the balls had a fair bit to do with the deteriation in his performance on Saturday.
I cant think of too many players that were good after half time... LT is in the team because he does certain things that none of our other players are able to do....

He is what he is.

His name is taking on the legacy that became Shannon Watt on this site a decade ago...whenever a loss comes up his name, like Watts appears on this board in some thread.

...and Finey....give me a break.

Sorry, but very poor thread.

LT has been very good to excellent all year.

Kicking accuracy is now reasonable.

One shaky game and people are lining up to lay the boots in.

This is North Melbourne, not Essendon.

Scum is that way.
Yep, whinging about individuals in a team game makes no sense to me.

Who in the **** in this thread has "laid the boots" into LT?

Simply pointing out that he struggled in the second half of the game against the Eagles isn't laying the boots in.

Pointing out LT's pros and cons is not laying the boots in.

BigFooty at its finest. :thumbsu:

Finey > Gaso. :stern look

Look Gaso. You're right in that LT is who he is. FWIW I think LT is in our best 22. I just want him to stop the rubbish. The idiotic fly that spoilt Wells. That blind blaze at goal kicking it out on the full. That dropped chest mark. He needs to cut that crap out of his game. Is that asking for much?

Nope it's not at all.

Just tired of the amount of threads on the board re him when there are whole team issues that are bigger than the Jack Russell that LT is.

Why would you single him out?

We must have had 10 players that went missing in the 2nd half v WCE, so why Lindsay?

Answer: Because you and your alter ego have a history of shitcanning the bloke and he has made you look stupid.

He needs to wear bigger shorts like Eddy Betts. The wind up em acts like a sail and will stop him going to ground so often. Make it happen Euge.

The OP made pretty valid points, too many fairy princesses in this thread.

And LT is in our best 8, not best 22, just to quash the hater tag.

Come on now DF. Linsday has been consistently solid all year. As you said, in this game he had a top 1st half. If you're going to make pro/con lists like that you could shitcan pretty much our entire list..

Boomer - doesn't like body contact
Petrie - can go missing when the pressure is on
Ziebell - has no tank
Atley - overcommits and gets caught
Goldstein - can get outmarked by smaller players
Tarrant - has no ground skills
Adams - when his radar is off - it's REALLY off
Bastinac - drops simple overhead marks
Wells - his disposal drops off when he's playing an inside role
etc
etc

If all their seasons/careers continues like this, book me in for electro-convulsive therapy.

The Buddy Franklin comparison that someone made is actually spot on. If LT could extract the digit more often and didn't fade out of games as much, he's got enough tools to kick bags. But he definitely has issues above the shoulders.

He's 24. This has been his best and most consistent season for the club so far. He's our first picked small forward, and our most damaging, especially defensively. He's now at a point where his mistakes are no more common or costly than anyone else's, especially given the high risk/high reward nature of playing small forward.

I reckon he's just going to get better and will grow in self-belief as he gets older. He's blessed with an abundance of freakish talent and athleticism, and to date he's struggled to put it all together. He will. He also seems to be very durable despite his manic attack on the footy.

I have a feeling that 250 games and 400 goals for this club is on the cards. Love the bloke :thumbsu:

Yah not wrong there. Plenty of threads on LT and yeah there are whole team issues that a bigger than LTs performances.

I've singled LT to upset you mate. Its in my job description. :stern look

Oh yeah your Answer above is wrong. Firstly I don't have an Alter Ego. Secondly I do not have a history of shitcanning the bloke. Once again with the assumptions Teffy. And you make out like some smart arse know it all cat. I'm disappointed. :sad yellow head

This is one guy I just can't figure out and his game vs WC on Sat sums him up perfectly - his first half was terrific - his second half was diabolical. Personally, I feel he has too many deficiencies in his game to be a CONSISTENT performer at AFL level but I can see he does have some talent and he's not a lost cause. But man, he is doing my head in this season. If his season/career continues like this, book me in for electro-convulsive therapy.

Pros:
Finds the ball.
Generates numerous shots at goal/game.
Can pass the ball with penetration.
Can do the miraculous.
Has the potential to injure opponents.

Cons:
Kicking for goal is a lottery.
Unable to keep his feet.
Gives away sloppy/silly free-kicks.
Flies indiscriminately for marks, usually unrealistically.
Has the potential to Injure team-mates.

So yeah, he's got me totally stuffed. Am I alone?
Not you are not alone DF.

When he is going well, we generally play well, and when he is not, we dont - in some ways it is compliment how important he is and why we need him to address the negatives you point out. I would suspect its why Scott dropped him earlier this year, clearly he finds some parts of his output less than satisfactory.

I think he has had a good year. But he tested many supporters emotions again on Sat arvo.
