Who in the **** in this thread has "laid the boots" into LT?

Simply pointing out that he struggled in the second half of the game against the Eagles isn't laying the boots in.

Pointing out LT's pros and cons is not laying the boots in.

BigFooty at its finest. :thumbsu:
Now, now... I said 'lining up to lay the boots in.'

Which is not to say any boots had been laid.

Sure, there boots are in the air.

I can see a couple of blunnies.

Probably some have even started the descent.

But the laying of boots has not yet been had.

On point, selectively picking, to my mind, his only below average half of football this year and extrapolating a meaning for his entire career, whilst
missing a more obvious trend in form over half a season is what I like to call "Pretty vacuous stuff."

But good luck with it.

Are you forgetting his "obvious form" over a half the season had him dropped BWElf? Players aren't dropped for no reason, and its far from his only below average half of football this year.

However I do agree LT does get singled out, especially with players like Bastinac, Petrie etc not performing at times and seem to escape the same kind of focus.

LT was not dropped on "form".

I'm not willing to betray any confidences here, but to say so is off the mark. Neither form or that farcical hangover story that was doing the rounds, were the reason behind his temporary demotion.

Obviously, you're under no obligation to believe my word on that, but it happens to be the truth.

That sounds like something someone from inside the club would know, are you in the inner sanctum (or scrotum:confused:, as I saw before)?

FWIW I trust what you're saying, there's no way he could have been dropped simply on form alone.

Nah, I'm more outer ball-sack at best. But every so often the Star Chamber chuck me a bone to gnaw away on.

Unfortunately, if I say anything more LT Smash will have me killed.

To be honest, I'm in touch with the brother of a head honcho at the club who is related to one of the players relatives who tells me from a reliable sauce that LT mightn't even come up this week.

No, I believe you mate :thumbsu:

I suppose I wasn't meaning "form" per se, more that Scott wouldnt tolerate some parts of LTs game. But if that wasn't relevant to his demotion, then no worries at all.

Either way I think we all agree we are a better team when LT is firing.

According to this, it was due to lack of intensity.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/no-...d-lindsay-thomas/story-fn7si01d-1226419384888

His only blemish this year was being dropped from the senior team after the Round 8 debacle against Port Adelaide.

There were suggestions of something sinister, but it was nothing more than Thomas's lacklustre intensity on the ground.

Scott told him that, showed him clips where the intensity was lacking, and Thomas took it on the chin.

Once, he might've sulked, but not now.

"It was said it was about stuff off-field, but it was nothing to do with that," Thomas says. "There were things Brad and I identified that had to be worked on, that consistency of effort.

"In my first couple of years, I would've dropped my head and cracked the s---- and that kind of stuff, but I've played enough footy to understand what I have to do. I was disappointed but if I'm not doing the things right I don't deserve to be in the seniors.

"I earned my spot back which was good.

Titty Bong two's
Didn't see the game as i was away, felt a tad pissed that we lost by two, felt a tad more pissed
when I realised we were up by 30 odd points.

Sitting 22nd in the comp for goals scored is our boy Lindsay- just sayin'

Also could add he's played less games than only three a head of him. I understand he annoys some, his good out weighs his bad by so much it aint worth worrying about IMO.

Yes, but more a specific incident concerning said lack of intensity. This may sound like a matter of semantics but, again, it wasn't "form" per se.

Not aimed at you KC, but if any cretin wants to bring my info into question, I'll happily discuss the matter with them via PM. Assuming of course that the facts are of genuine importance to people.

Agree old friend, I was just trying to work a dog penis into the topic.

In some ways a metaphor for my life. Actually it's not all that metaphorical.

I'd say that would be a little too much information, and/or the dog penis well and truly "worked".

And apologies if I came across like a bit of a snippy prick earlier. If I was curt with you, it's because time was a factor. Just quickly chimed in because I didn't want your post, and the admittedly vague nature of my words, to be twisted in classic BF revisionist style by those with a weird penchant for trolling Lindsay.
