His form is phenomenal right now, he hits the contest as hard as anyone at our club and is our barometer. Am really happy for him, he seemed to go through hell last year.

I know I will cop crap for this, and the only reason I mention it is because I want him to stop doing it so people focus on the positives of his game.....but that 50 he received in the last, he deadset took a dive. He took the mark, felt a hand on his back, was about to plant his left foot but pulled it and went to ground. Was really obvious on the slow-mo replay.

I just want him to stop this crap because his career doesn't need to be tainted by it, Harvey still cops it for shit he did 7 or 8 years ago. LT just doesn't need to do it, he's not desparate to kick a goal and keep his place in the size anymore, he should back his skill.

And I'm Thomas-ist, nor am I an alias of mav.
I have to disagree on that one. The clown from Carlton gave him a shove dead set in the back after he'd taken the mark. That was stupid. Why reward stupidity by stopping yourself from falling?

Not denying he got shoved in the back but not putting your foot down to stay upright isn't a whole lot different to falling forward in a tackle when you feel pressure from behind.

He is just better than this, beat them on talent and heart alone LT.

One gets the feeling Lindsay won't be exempt from criticism until he wins a Syd Barker, Norm Smith and Brownlow.

I would have thought even if he won all three then he would not be exempt from justifiable criticism. Nobody is.

Judd has an amazingly good record as a player - can't see him escaping criticism from too many at the moment.

its called taking the moral high ground, if the push was there it should get pinged regardless if the player goes to ground or not.

we dont want our game to turn into a charade like the soccer regardless of who is taking the dives,

Joel Selwood has been ducking since day 1. Nobody questions his ability as a footballer.

no but we are discussing his ducking arnt we.

LT is a very talented footballer which is why i beleive he dont need to do this sort of thing, i have never questioned his ability other than his set shot routine.

Hey no need to lecture LT Smash on the moral high ground - he knows all about it.

WHAT A SMOTHER!!!

Incredible stuff by Lindsay, was reasonably quiet all day (didn't even register a score) but those are the things which make him invaluable to the club!

GR - would love a video of it when you get a chance please mate.

He was heavily tagged today. Good coaching by Hardwick to identify him as a major threat. Backing Linz to bounce back and destroy Melbourne.

Yep, agree with the above. Had a poor day and make typical LT mistakes (like kicking the ball to invisible NMFC players in the 50)......

......but that smother was fantastic!! :thumbsu: Arguably won us the game and for that its a huge credit to LT, brilliant work (one of the most gutsy bits of play is a smother like that I reckon)

This was my suspicion too. Richmond seemed to wear him very tight and saw Newman really focusing on keeping him on a leash.

Smother was awesome. Great sign that players have quiet games but still bob up with a match winning (saving) contribution.

So funny!! Has a shit game again and because he did one good thing he's a star!! No one holds there hand up to slow down play after taking a mark like LT. Doesn't matter 2 guys are free in the forward line LT needs to make sure the cameras get him on tv. With regards to the smother, go back 20 odd minutes and you'll see a really half arsed gutless effort to smother by him. But hey one good smother so has to be AA!!

Seemed to be back into poser mode for much of today...he gets this too cool for school swagger that shites me.

Then he goes and does a smother like that.

He reminds me (said it before) of old girlfriends that gave you the shi*s sometimes but you loved them nonetheless. ;)
