LT gets 2 weeks with a bad record and dropped to 1 with a early plea,

LINDSAY Thomas' bid to break back into North Melbourne's team has suffered another blow, with the small forward accepting a one-week ban by the VFL's Match Review Panel on a striking charge.

Thomas was not reported during Werribee's match against the Northern Blues on Saturday, but the VFL charged the forward with striking Carlton listed-player Rhys Palmer on Monday after its video review of the round's games.

The incident occurred during the second quarter after Thomas took possession inside Werribee's forward 50. As Palmer moved in to tackle him, Thomas lifted his elbow in an attempted fend-off but caught Palmer high.

The VFL assessed Thomas' conduct as careless and involving low impact and high contact.

Thomas has a pre-existing bad record that lifted his ban to two matches, but it was reduced to one match when the forward swiftly entered a guilty plea after the VFL's MRP released its findings.

One was high, one wasn't.
And LT got one week upgraded to 2 for a poor record. But don't let facts get in the way of a good whinge!

So YOU'RE That's Wright!

Ignore for you, tool

If I could be bothered I'd link clips of him cheating north of goals, momentum or respect from missing unmissable goals whilst burning a team mate, giving away stupid free kicks from his own frustration, trying to take a speccy instead of crumbung, or ducking, waiving his arms etc looking for a free kick.

The guys a cheat. First game back from a cowards bump after a vfl demotion and he quite rightly cops another week (and played a piss poor game to boot).

Excuse the intrusion. Does anyone know how many games Thomas has been suspended for in total over his career. With 4 weeks this year, surely he'd be getting close to the 16 week limit.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already.

Not sure but is the 16 weeks counted as time served or time punished? In other words does LT's 2 weeks today count or just the one he serves due to early plea?

stop trying to make it seem worse than it is. its time served, not the pre-acceptance.

It was a serious question, I don't know the answer.

Our website tribunal history says he has 5 weeks of penalties in the AFL. If you add on another 5 for this seasons VFL then he is getting dangerously close.

yep, perennial LT hater, not trying to make him sound worse......
