Delisted 12. Wylie Buzza (2016-2018)

There's a nice highlights video of Wiley (yeah, it's the best name ever!) on the club website. A few impressive long range set shot goals in there...

Whilst seemingly too big on many occasions against smaller opposition, he's good below the knees, very good hands - there's a mark where he picks it up a centimetre off the deck, and generally looks ok in kicking for goal.

Sure these vids paint a positive light, but I liked what I saw. Very positive about this guy.

Is a bar you are in gonna run out of beer? that would be yes. :D

Already looking at options my friend.

Coyote could become a draw card!

GO Cattes

Have to see if I can find you this year.... I think between Wylie and Hay Ball and others this is going to be plenty to study over a beer this year.

Our Wylie Buzza had an eye issue -

"The key forward who hails from Gatton, 90km west of Brisbane, was taking plenty of marks, but a few were slipping through the mitts.

After spending time with his club, the state system and the Brisbane Lions Academy, it was suggested he see an eye specialist. The result? The detection of a lazy eye.

Three months of exercises later, stronger vision and the 19-year-old started clunking everything that came his way.

Just like an average runner working his backside off to improve his fitness or a skinny draftee hitting the gym to bulk up, Buzza had corrected his small imperfection through hard work."

Adrian Fletcher, AFL Queensland's academy and high performance coach said he had to overcome a lazy eye when he played footy.

Zac Bates always photographs as if he has a lazy right eye, as well.

Interesting convo, doesn't mean much, but has been great to stir up a few Melbourne mates. Family friend knows Aaron Davey quite well, and after this years TAC cup, Davey was adamant that Buzza is a much better forward prospect than Wiedman.

Wonder if that says more about Weideman than Buzza?

He was training with the cats today wearing bright pink boots, couldn't miss him. Also i found his combine stats:
Absolute Vertical Jump: 325cm
Running Vertical Jump: 343cm
20m Sprint: 3.07
Agility: 8.52
Beep Test (shuttle run): 12.6
So he clearly has power in his legs but his endurance needs a lot of work.

Obviously a good fighter.

What a ripping bloke!

Like Cookie talks about, they look for character. And he just happens to be a monster of a man too.

12.6 isn't too bad really considering he comes from a rugby league background.

That was an awesome interview, hopefully he makes it and becomes a real cult hero. (the game sure needs them)

Ripper bloke with a ripper name! Welcome to the Cattery :thumbsu::thumbsu:
