The_Gun was spot on in his posts about being the big winger like Izaak Smith
really showed good signs and can see him replace Macca in 12 moths time

If he can be a good wing option that'd be a big win for Richmond with people unsure about Pickett macca and caddy.

Makes you wonder who turns out the best rsmith. Martyn. Cumberland.

I like Hugo , He just looks like he has the class

Kid also has some nice assets like pace tank height and agility

Based on what I’ve seen,I really rate Ralphsmith- has a lot of good afl qualities.
Martyn I don’t rate, harsh but nothing against him, I would’ve delisted this year.
Cumberland needs next season to show if he has a future, has some exciting skills though

Agreed. IMO martyn is a step below Ross and RCD who aren’t proven AFL players. By the time he reaches that level he’ll be like 24. No X factor in him whatsoever.

Plenty of players have had Martyn's skill set and little x-factor. Sloane, Priddis, Mitchell. Martyn has good running ability, not quick but gets across the ground really well, has good hands and a neat kick, much like those mentioned. He is strong but should come back with an extra couple of kg's on him making him a good size. He looks less likely than the other as far as X factor goes, but he knows how to get the ball which is something the ones above knew how to do from an early age.

He can get the ball at VFL level still hasn’t proven this at AFL level after his two games. Naish would also dominate VFL games racking 30+ disposals but couldn’t translate it to the AFL.

Well I don't think you can judge his first game, what were the selectors thinking. Naish and Martyn are different players. Naish is a good player, but he lacks pace for the role he plays, an outside winger type. If you have no pace in that role, nor strength, unless you play like Liam Baker then you'll be found wanting.

Martyn is 186cm and will probably come back around 85kg's next season. He plays close to the pack but has good spread and running ability, something that a similar player in Miles never had. I have said he is the least likely of those developing mids, Ross, RCD and Dow, but because he has at least a few AFL attributes and plays with good determination and uses the ball pretty well, he is not without hope.

I'd be shocked if Ralph didn't end up best of the 3.

TBH I'd be more than comfortable playing Ralphsmith after this preseason of development over all of Picket, Macintosh and Caddy.
As early as 2022 if that's his role and that's his competition.

Hugo looking like a physical beast already and the next 5 months can only build

How big does Dow look ,
Hugo is looking really fit and nicely filling out.

Dow is very hard to tell, legs look muscular and developed but on top he's all tshirt. Hard to see if he's filling out in the upper body with a baggy T on.

Shoulders look really broad and has long arms like a Fletcher , I know it sounds silly as they are sitting but doesnt look like a 183cm player
