We are paying a heavy price but his body is cooked. Can't do anything about that.

On what basis do you believe he would get picked up? Nobody wanted him 2 years ago when we shopped him round , now he is completely cooked.

Absolute waste of a pick.
I know much has been said on the capital used to get Polec over the years but upon reflection by much of what’s been posted in here since, the contract we gave him was a disastrous one and we were absolutely fleeced by his manager. Joyce so out of his depth and out of touch he deserves to be unemployed and nowhere near footy again.
Disaster is putting it lightly - Polec never bought into the club culture or fully integrated himself and I’d honestly ask him to pay the money back if the club weren’t the dumb *s who offered it in the first place.
He wasn’t as highly rated internally at Port to what we valued him and it showed.

We’re still paying the campaigners salary this year FWIW.

Did he ever play a game again at any level after 2022? His foot was a problem and kept him to just 2 games, and it says in one of those articles above that he didn't play a game as playing assistant coach at Yarraville.

Sounds like his body just didn't get right again.
