We just got Setterfield who’s a much better version

Stocker is the inside ying to Walsh’s outside yang

Great move, and so happy to club has the confidence to pull the trigger.
Agree 100% ... this is not about what Adelaide do next year for me. This is about CFC saying we are confident in our decisions and our club. We get what we need now and still in next years draft. No need to death ride Adelaide, this is about how much stronger we will be. Go Blues so glad we made some moves.

What is we finish above Adelaide next year?

Stocker is a great talent. Many watchers had him between 10-15.

I really wanted Stocker, Morrish Medal Winner! Best and Fairest in the TAC cup, Really excited for him!

That said, I think we lose this trade if our first is in the top three or their first is more than six picks away from ours next year.
depends, Stocker may well have gone a bit higher had he not missed a few months this year.

Not if we finish last or thereabouts.
Interesting to hear SOS’s/Agresta’s wrap up on this.
It doesn't matter if we have the focus on our FA target and our trade target.
The numbers will still stack up.

We did very well here in the bigger scheme of things. I'm slightly shocked. Well done CFC.

Good point. Not having a top of the draft pick didn't stop Essendon from trading in Dylan Shiel. Perhaps that's the perspective we need to take instead of "****! The sky is falling, we don't have our annual top 3-4 pick!"

Even then it doesn’t necessarily matter in the long run. We could finish last, have everyone hang shit on us for giving up pick one and then SOS ends up picking a player with that Crows pick who turns out better than the guy who went pick one anyway. Picks are picks, but players are players. Reckon SOS knew what he was doing here player-wise.
